In 2024, with everything going on around the world, felt like the same was happening internally. I had to have peace talks, negotiations, asking for ceasefire and accepting the fate of life with my health on a daily basis!

Chronic illness is not a day illness, or only for a month, or just a year. It is unpredictable, painful, stressful, and CONSTANT. You have some good days that make you feel all will be well, only for tables to flip the next minute, hour, or day with pain at an all time high. Grieving & Battles in Silence is the name of the game.

End of 2024:
- Yes, I’m still in lots of pain
- Yes, the pain continues to alter a lot of things in my life
- No, I am not better or haven’t gotten better
- No, I’m not in a place of wanting to try new remedies (it’s exhausting mentally)
- Yes I have good days and bad days and can’t tell which one I’ll have today or tomorrow
- Yes, I’m forever grateful for my support system
- Yes, I’m very AFRAID of what my health may bring in 2025
- I trust it’s all working for my good even though I may not understand it

Here’s to the 2024 that was and the 2025 that will be! 🥂💜

Checking in: Been quiet. Very hard season. I’m alive. 🌸

The hardest thing for me this year has been seeing my energy levels reduce more than any of the past years. I used to take like a day or two to recover from a full day out. Now????? 😩

One phone call that’s more than 10 minutes means my energy levels for the day are done and the pain is up. Need a full day to recover from the call. Texting back and forth for less than an hour, means that’s it for work for the next two days. My fingers won’t have the strength to type and will be in pain for the next two days. Leaving the house for coffee or tea with friends and family for less than half a day, means I’m getting into the house crying cause of the pain I’m in, and have to take a week to recover. 😭

Having to juggle this NEW way of living while trying to still be a present, loving and caring daughter, sister, cousin, niece, grand daughter, aunt, friend, neighbor, employee etc. has been HARD! I have failed miserably this year. 😖

And the doctors want to say the condition is not progressive??? 😂💀
