Physique update:
I am currently gradually cutting down bf% just by cutting out most ultra processed and hyper-palatable foods, while still lifting relatively heavy, and consuming roughly 1g per pound of body weight. I am feeling strong and lean as of now! Not currently tracking any foods.

Let’s talk about sleep and muscle growth😴

Getting in anything less than 7 hours will noticeably decrease protein synthesis and increase the activity of degradation pathways, which will in turn, cause muscle loss

Your job, lifestyle, or responsibilities may prevent you from getting enough sleep. But here are a few ways for you to be sure to wake up rested and strong.

1️⃣ Stay off your phone before bed. The blue light from your phone screen causes less melatonin to be released in the brain. Causing acute insomnia.

2️⃣ Don’t eat for a few hours before going to bed. Digestion is a very metabolically demanding activity that can prevent some from catching Zs

3️⃣ Stop drinking caffeine past noon. Caffeine has a half-life of about eight hours for most. So that extra cup of coffee that you had around 3 PM could still leave trace amounts of caffeine in the brain when it’s time to go to bed. This will either cause problems falling asleep or disrupt your sleep quality.

Here’s some of the benefits that come with getting in enough vitamin D👇

Here’s a few ways to ensure that you are not a part of that 42% that’s lacking:

1️⃣: Spend 30 mins to an hour a day in the Sun. Your body naturally produces vitamin D when exposed to direct (or even indirect) sunlight.

2️⃣: A quality vitamin D supplement. Anywhere from 1,000 UI to 5,000 IU for most people. Some may need much more.

Hey everyone! I apologize for not posting much lately. I haven’t been as consistent on here as I’d like to be. It’s been tough getting back into the swing of things after all of the big life changes that have been happening.

As for those of you who have been worried, I’m doing great! Don’t stress! I hust have been taking something along the lines of a break. Thank you for understanding, and thank you for the endless support that I receive from you all.

I know I’ve said this before, but I will be starting to post more again. I said that in the past, and then disappeared again for way too long and I’m sorry for that.

I’ll have a “full explanation of what’s been going on” video for you guys soon.
But to keep you updated just a bit more, my weight was down about 25 lbs in the first photo. putting me around 166lbs. Which was less than my stage weight. But instead of looking diced and show ready, I felt weaker and smaller than ever.

I’m up to 187lbs now and feeling much stronger. After some muscle is built back, I’ll be shredding back down again, but I am in no rush

It’s sad to say, but the picture on the left is my most recent progress photo. Taken shortly after my medical incident.
I have been resting and recovering, and I am currently sitting at the worst my physique has been in a long time.

But I won’t let this get me down one bit more. I now have a new goal to work towards and a new fire has been ignited from deep within. I’ll keep you updated
