Forgiveness is a deep and conscious inner choice.

Forgiveness doesn’t just “happen” by accident. We need to make a decision that now is the time. This often comes through realisations of just how much our lives are damaged, held back, poisoned by our lack of forgiveness. We are the main victims.
If we can get glimpses of how imprisoned we are by lack of forgiveness then there is the possibility to make this deep, conscious inner choice to at least begin the process of forgiveness.

Some people don’t know how to begin. They know forgiveness is needed, but how can one forgive actions that seem to be unforgivable? This maybe actions done to you or actions you have done to someone else.

We are running a new mini course of 6 x one hour power sessions to give you a helping hand to release old emotions that no longer serve you.

So, whether we have experienced panic attacks or not, just the thought of a panic attack begins a process of contraction inside of us, our defences begin. Key Points Session One Why is the Breath a tool of awakening?
1)There is a force, an energy, prana within and behind everything.
2)Thoughts, emotions are an expression of prana.
3) If we control prana we can begin to control our entire inner world. Otherwise we are pulled around like puppets by our subconscious world.
4)The breath is the most efficient carrier of this life force energy.
5) So if we breathe in a conscious manner we start to control of the motion of prana within our being

I am writing this blog from Samye Ling, a Tibetan Buddhist centre in Scotland. The heart of Buddhism is about compassion, so it seems fitting to reflect on this subject of pity and empathy while I am here.

In my work with clients and participants in courses over the past 30 years I have heard some truly heartbreaking situations for people. Life is only temporarily comfortable and sweet. When I say comfortable and sweet I am really talking about the inner world, as I have met many individuals who have a seemingly “easy” outer life, but their inner world is tormented. While others can overcome with extraordinary courage and grace extremely painful outer situations to a place of inner peace.

How can we be genuinely helpful without absorbing the troubled energies of another?

People, and healers in particular, have often said to me “I am an empath, so I feel everyone’s energies and I need to create boundaries, and I can’t be around others for long”.

What I would say to this is that it is only part way there to empathy. There are some crucial further steps which go beyond the need to create boundaries and beyond this absorption of others’ energies ..........
