This is the face of a tired me. I really didn’t want to do this today. I usually go to bed around 9-10pm. The last couple of nights it’s been after midnight. I feel sluggish, it’s cold and I have a headache.

I told myself I don’t need to complete those rings today. I can easily not bother. I thought I could change my account to private and block anyone who follows and no one would be any the wiser. But that’s not accountability.

So I put in my big girl pants, which are bigger than I would like, and I did my 4th couch25k session (still week 1). I even pushed myself to move faster and hit a certain part of the garden before the 60 second timer was up and best of all . So glad I did this, just look at those rings xx

Starting again! But who cares! Started Couch 2 5K (again) this morning, probably for atleast the 5th time. It went well. I felt much better then I thought I would once I’d finished.

What I’ve learnt about this program is that I never get past week 2. My body never seems to be able to cope past that, I get an injury and rest and never get started again. My knees aren’t good, probably from the weight I carry and last year I spent most of my time battling plantar fasciitis.

But back to not getting past week 2….. does it matter if I just repeat week 1 for a few weeks/months before I move on to week 2? I don’t think so. My current thing is ‘something’s better than nothing’.

What’s brought about my return? A few days at Champneys Tring has put beautiful, healthy food in front of me. I’ve been using, sorry purchased the Better Me app and then yesterday I saw Levina Mehta on TV. She is all about exercise snacks - right up my street!

So below in the pics is me starting, my garden track (because no way am I doing this in street) and me completed my first session (note my face isn’t particularly red from jogging!)

Was looking for something different to do with rhubarb at the weekend and found a recipe for rhubarb syrup. I just replaced the sugar for 100% Erythritol, a sugar alternative and zero calories.

Have tried it tonight with sparkling water and it’s nice and tart (which I love).

It’s great to have something different to use rhubarb for other than stewing it.

I reckon it would freeze nicely for lollies.

Rescued some nectarines (from the Olio app) and made a delicious coulis with just the nectarines, honey and water. Then mixed some of it into a delicious ice cream mix.

Just over 3lbs Ibs nectarines peeled and chopped
3tbl spoons light honey
2 1/3 cups of water.

Gently simmered all ingredients in a pan until soft and then blitzed with my stick blender. Delicious flavour.
