Have a great weekend. You’ve worked hard all week getting closer to your goals. The point is the journey, not the destination. Say hi to your dog for me.

Last day to submit your guess. What is Koda? The DNA sample is at the lab and we are waiting on the results.

Another year out at the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run, this time not chasing a PR—but showing up as a medical runner.

Smooth sailing from start to finish. Minimal issues on the course, which is always the goal. A few check-ins here and there, but mostly just good energy, steady miles, and a lot of reassurance for runners pushing through.

The best part? High fives, fist bumps, and those quick “you’re good, keep going” moments that help someone finish strong.

Grateful to be out there in this role —keeping people moving, confident, and crossing that finish line.

Same race, different perspective 👊🌸

Meet the newest member of the Native Physical Therapy team… 🐾

This is Koda.

He officially joined us this week, and you’ll start seeing him around the office 🐶

Right now, Koda is in training—learning how to:
• Stay calm in new environments
• Greet people appropriately
• Be the best clinic companion possible

Our goal is for him to eventually be a well-trained, calming presence for patients who enjoy having dogs around.

For now, we’ll be easing him in slowly and making sure he’s set up for success.

From fear… to lifting 55 lbs with confidence. 💪

Sondra came in after a vertebral lumbar fracture from a boating accident — the kind of pain that makes you second guess every movement.

Bending? Scary.
Lifting? Out of the question.
Even getting dressed had become a challenge.

Fast forward to today…
She’s deadlifting 55 lbs with solid form, control, and ZERO fear.

That’s not just strength.
That’s trust in her body again.

We didn’t rush it.
We didn’t force it.
We rebuilt it — step by step:
✔️ Restore mobility
✔️ Re-align the body
✔️ Build strength where it matters
✔️ Create safe, confident movement

And now she’s moving better than she has in months.

This is what rehab should look like.
Not just getting out of pain… but getting your life back.

Let’s go, Sondra 🔥

Open 26.3 recap:

Step 1: “This won’t be that bad.”
Step 2: Heavy barbell enters the chat.
Step 3: Burpees destroy all remaining confidence.
Step 4: Lay face down on the floor questioning life choices.
Step 5: High-five your friends and sign up to do it again next year.

The CrossFit Open is basically just a reminder that suffering is better with good people.

Grateful for this crew and the energy . 🔥

Also… shoutout to the judge making sure those burpees were extra official. 😂

Finished the River City Half Marathon in Richmond and feeling it 😅🏃‍♂️

Beautiful course, incredible views of the river… and a lot more hills than expected.

By mile 10 my legs were definitely reminding me about those 50 lb overhead lunges yesterday.

Happy to be done, grateful for the miles, and already thinking about the next one. 💪🌄
