Recent research shows us there is a relationship between sleep timing and mood. The authors found that
even one-hour earlier sleep timing is associated with significantly lower risk of depression!

Those with genetic variants which predispose them to be early risers are also at a significantly lower risk of depression.

The recent University of Colorado study suggests that, “if someone who normally goes to bed at 1 a.m. goes to bed at midnight instead and sleeps the same duration, they could cut their risk by 23% & if they go to bed at 11 p.m., they could cut it by about 40%.”

Based upon some real science you can decrease your risk for depression if you:

1. Go to sleep an hour earlier
2. Wake up an hour earlier
3. Go outside to get some sunlight earlier in the day
4. Keep the lights dimmer at nighttime.

There are many studies showing a relationship between beauty and the brain. There is a lot of power in surrounding yourself with natural beauty.

🌺Try to notice something lovely in nature right now (even if that means looking out the window!)

✨Notice the feeling of delight that it gives you

😌Spend 20-30 seconds absorbing the good feeling it gives you

The nasal passages, they speculated, are a more direct path to the brain than the mouth is.
