Social media is an incredible tool for staying connected, but it's essential to remember that it might not be the best platform to express deeper struggles and find the support you truly need. 🤔

I recently tested the waters here on Facebook, sharing a bit about my own challenges. While I received some supportive emoticons, I realized that many times, the depth of our struggles gets lost in the vast sea of posts and updates. 🌊

It's crucial to acknowledge that not all your Facebook friends are your confidants. They might be more like acquaintances than genuine buddies. 🙇‍♂️

A virtual hug or a heart emoji can't replace the power of real, face-to-face conversations with friends who genuinely care. 🤝

If you're going through a tough time, consider reaching out to those close to you, people who'll ask, "How are you really feeling?" and "Is there anything I can do to help?" 💬

Remember, seeking professional help is a brave and important step. Facebook groups can offer valuable insights and coping methods, but they can't replace the expertise of a trained therapist. 🛑

So, if you're struggling, don't hesitate to ask for help from real friends or seek professional support. Your well-being is important, and there are resources out there to support you. 💙

We do not like talking about being a bit overweight. Hey, even my best pal is overweight! The neighbor too! So what's wrong with that?

Apart from the fact that it is unhealthy, it may damage your heart and makes you less attractive? Well, it is expensive too. You must eat more to fill up, you need bigger clothes, and over time you have to take pills to stay alive. No sugarcoating here, you know me.

In my previous post I suggested that regular walking might help you burn calories. However, it takes a long term commitment and loads of steps. Well, 15 thousands a day, at least. Walking for an hour a day? C'mon! Who has got 1 hour a day just to walk around? I am busy. You are busy. Everyone is busy in these days.

OK, so you want to lose some unnecessary weight faster. No problem.
You can use the harder - but much faster approach. If you can commit yourself to the below exercises for 10 days at least, you can do miracles to your body!

You read it right: I am talking about 10 days of commitment.

16 minutes a day - anyone can do that. Yes, even middle-aged men, like me. So if you want to get rid off that annoying belly fat and impress everyone around you, just keep doing these exercises for one and a half weeks. You can slim your belly fat in no time.

Can you do something for 16 minutes a day for 10 days? Yes, you can! You have got the strength and the commitment!

Gaining weight is easy. Too easy. We all know that.
Having a burger here, a nice lunch there, and a minute later you are just amazed how much you gained.

When you reach the magic age 40, pounds (or kilograms if you like) are crawling on you in no time. They just do not want to go away, whatever you do. Over time most of us simply give up the fight and accept the fact: belly fat stays, older clothes go.

Losing all of it is a different story. You run 10 minutes in the morning, then you skip a day, then two - a week later you do nothing. Familiar?

Well, that's that happened to my plans. (My big plans die early, by the way, so no surprise here.) I always skipped them for good. After a few sweaty weeks I stared at the scale and saw that I put on a bit again. I even tried to run and do some exercises... well, at least once a week. Didn't I? Commitment is hard, isn't it? For me it is, definitely.

So I decided to check the facts. (Hello, Facebook! Please check my facts as well! Thanks for the effort!)

I realized that belly fat is partly genetic (Hurray! I did not do anything wrong! It's nature at work!), partly wrong approach to losing weight.

What? What do you mean, wrong approach? I keep running for long (too long) minutes, I hardly can take a breath, I even do a few (I mean minimal) push ups and sit ups - and it goes in vein?!

Well, not entirely. Keep doing that - but consistency is the key. Instead of running a bit, walk a lot.

No, it is not a joke. Run for 30 minutes - or walk for an hour. The result is the same. You burn equal calories with both. Simple as that. Bye-bye belly fat!

If you cannot commit yourself to regular running exercises, just keep walking. It will burn your calories slowly, but steadily.

Just walk an hour a day, consistently, and increase the number of steps every day. Or week, if you find it challenging. But keep walking more. Buy a step counter, an Apple watch or whatever helps you measure your effort. By the end of the year you will be amazed - the scale will be your best friend again.
