The only way I know to get through the pain is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ knowing God is your father and trusting and learning along the way!
Why does God allow the pain to happen because we have free will and we are to learn to help others get through what we have endured

Chapter 2
Where did God go when his first children rebelled?
The rebellion of others does not mean failure by those responsible for their instruction, importantly the Lord Jesus said faithfulness to the gospel would be a source of division in human relationships including the family.
Luke 12:52-53
Matthew 10:21
We respond with sympathy to those whose parents have rejected them because of their faith we know the gospel divines, we pray for a special measure of God’s grace for those who experience rejection from a spouse arising from their faith because we know the gospel divides.
Jesus said it would also divide parents for their children.
spiritual determination ignores the plain truth.
Ephesians 6:4
Colossians 9:21
The New Testament specific teachings on parenting, directed at fathers, it provides both a warning in a general path in which to lead one’s children’s, and the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
it provides no promises regarding the outcome, however it gives a clear focus for parental responsibility.
Ephesians 6:4 to the responsibility of fathers to provide intentional spiritual instruction for their children we are to lay before them the truth of Scripture.

teaching our children rightly
+
living a godly example
=
faithful children .....,,,,,,,
if only it were so simple

When you believe Proverbs 22:6 that promises if we raise our children rightly they will not depart from Faith, consider what the passage says, train up a child in the way he should go even when he is old he will not depart from it

1st it might be helpful to remember the man believed to have pinned this proverb departed from the faith.
2nd there are other examples of God and kings of Israel whose sons rebuild against the Lord, consider the case of Josiah.
we are told in second kings 23 that before him there was no king like him who turned to the Lord with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might. according to the law of Moses nor did any like him arise after him.
Nor should it be interpreted in isolation we must see it in the full context of scripture to declare Proverbs 22:6 as in the spiritual state of one’s offspring you must find scripture supporting the notion of one’s person controlling the eternal destiny of another.
The book of Proverbs is a collection of wisdom to provide instruction to the young and naïve
Proverbs 12:36
this book declares the Lord made for the world in which we dwell through wisdom the overall structure and content of Proverbs assumes cause and affect are operational in both the physical and moral realm in which we dwell.
Scripture tells us that more children will choose the path of rejection in the last days second Timothy 3:2.

The judgment of the Lord should be our only concern proverbs 29:25
and Corinthians 4:3
God puts critics in our lives for our good.
Raising a child up in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it is a probability not a promise.
Responding to the judgment of others
first we should allow it to humble us
God puts critics in our lives for a good
second allow the experience to rid you of the fear of man.
we worry far too much what others think about us.
the judgment of the Lord should be our only concern problems 29:25
and Corinthians 4:3
exam in your own life to determine where you have been guilty of judging others fourth return good for evil when wrongly judged by others we have a blessed opportunity to model our savior first Peter 2:23
let us do good for evil

the short end of it is the father is faced with identifying his son, Deep with and I wanted to scream I never saw the space before I do not know who he is yet I did I knew with certainty my voice cracked as I acknowledge to this visitor from the county corners office at the photo had captured my youngest child the body they found was the boy I want to build so tenderly just one month after his 13th birthday and end came to a 15 year journey of watching his painful dissent into drug abuse and its attendance ugliness.

People find great hope in the story of the prodigal son told by the Lord Jesus. The pictures the greatest love of our heavenly father shows been forgetting all the repent and turn to him. Untold numbers have returned and repentance. But many have not and then he never did nor ever will. Not all children who wander from the faith of particles some offspring or not walking with the Lord but are otherwise upstanding citizens in the eyes of society. They hold gainful employment, fulfill parental duties well, and are good neighbors.
The spiritual well-being is a concern.
They need prayer, the truth spoken in love, effectual work of the spirit in their life. For loved ones who have entered a downward spiral, shattering relationships, incurred judicial action, destroying trust and molding your beloved into a stranger who you hardly know anymore.

If your loved one is still alive and remains far from the faith, you should hold onto hope that they will be a prodigal who will return.
Our God delights in bringing rebellious souls into his forever family.
If you are the parent of a protocol, I would encourage you to read this book aloud with your spouse, with an open Bible as your companion, together you will need to learn to think biblically about these issues. Some truth in this book ahead may be hard to hear. At times Scriptures paint a painful picture of reality Jesus taught some hard things love ones a practical walk a painful path is easy to think comfortable only come by the repentance and restoration of your protocol, However if you link our joy solely to the response of the heart of a wondering loved one, the journey will be unbearable, and a tragic outcome will be devastating.
True joy and comfort can only be found when your Hope rest solidly in our heavenly father.
It is to him through his word that we must turn for guidance on this painful journey. Let’s allow the light of His word to navigate us through these rough waters.
