Sublingual nutrients absorption and mode of administration of Biochemic Medicines

Abstract -

Biochemic medicines are traditionally twelve Inorganic salts which are administered orally. Biochemic system of medicine was established by Dr Schuessler of Germany based on the physiochemical processes take place in the living cells or tissues or in the human body. In new dimension of Biochemic System of medicine we can consider all the substances or minerals or phytochemicals which can influence or directly perticipate in the various biochemical pathways and physiochemcal processes as Biochemic drugs. Biochemic system follow the laws of minimum during the administration of medicine to bypass the medicinal side-effects but within the Avogadro limitation. In Biochemic System of medicine, medicines are administered orally but only by the process of Sublingual Absorption. Buccal absorption was considered traditionally but it was less effective than siblingual absorption. The sublingual route bypasses the first-pass metabolism and hence facilitates rapid absorption of the drug through mucosal epithelium into the systemic circulation. Drug directly reaches the systemic circulation using blood vessels.

Calcium is essential during cell division for the formation of mitotic spindle apparatus. The mitotic spindle is composed of spindle fibres. The spindle fibres attach to the kinetochore of chromosomes and help in chromosome movement. Spindle fibres are composed of microtubules.
The concentration of calcium increases during the mitotic phase and contributes to the stability of microtubules.

Magnesium plays diverse roles in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases on the biochemical and cellular levels. First, magnesium activates adenosine triphosphatase (ATPase), which is essential for cell membrane functioning and is also the energy source of the Na+–K+ pump. Magnesium deficiency has been shown to decrease the activity of the Na+–K+ pump, leading to an increase in intracellular sodium, which alters the membrane potential. magnesium deficiency caused the membrane potential to be less polarised as a result of intracellular sodium accumulation, suggesting Na+–K+pump inhibition.This change in membrane potential has been hypothesised as a potential mechanism for causing arrhythmias. Magnesium is also known to be a cofactor important for the functioning of the enzymes in cardiac mitochondria. Additionally, magnesium has been demonstrated to modulate the potassium-proton exchange. Cation selectivity in sodium and potassium exchange for protons is highly dependent on magnesium. Thus, magnesium also protects against potassium loss. Intracellular magnesium deficiency may also cause an increase in intracellular sodium and calcium, which predisposes to arterial vasospasm, increased catecholamine release, increased fatty acids and lipids, as well as intravascular hypercoagulability.
