Welcome back to

Let's get to the cards!

We open with the 7 of coins (pentacles). This card invites us to take a step back from our passionate pursuit of projects and look at the big picture.
Are we still on track? Is our energy being best utilized?
We may be sensing that some area of work isn't worth the energy being invested. It's not working out and instead is blocking our path towards our goal. Assess where your energy is going and make sure it's still leading you in the right direction.

Next is the Ace of Swords.
This card heralds an opportunity for a new beginning. It's time to look at the truth of what we want and where we are going so we can make the most of the new opportunity.
We need to be sure we are moving ourselves in the right direction.

Finally we have the 8 of Swords.
This card sees that something has become restrictive. We may feel trapped in a situation where we aren't sure what the right answer is.
But there is a way out of that feeling. Trust your intuition, your gut, and make a move. Sitting half way between staying and going doesn't serve you.
You aren't as trapped as your feel and your gut knows what you need to do.

Let get reading for our week ahead!

Our reading this week opens on the king of cups. This is a card of emotional mastery and maturity. You know how you feel and have addressed those feelings.
Now is the time to ensure you are respecting your emotional boundaries.
No one other than you can tell other people how you feel and where your lines are.

Next we head into the seven of coins (or pentacles). This is a card of successes and progress. You've been full steam ahead on your projects, and now is a good time to take a step back and look at the big picture. Are you putting your energy in the best places for your ultimate goal? Are the steps you're taking leading you in the best direction?
It's important to reassess your progress now and again to be sure you're using your resources in the best way.

Finally we come to the queen of wands.
This card reminds you that you're in control of your life. Be in control with confidence and energy! You aren't one to sit back and let others take the wheel from you. So don't allow that now. Keep going strong.
And don't be afraid to occasionally show your shadow side. The things you keep close to the chest don't always have to be hidden away. Be confident and be healthy in who you are, including the shadow side.

Today's reading comes from the Murder of Crows tarot deck.

It opens on the two of pentacles, suggesting that there is a fine balance to the energy being invested. Perhaps you walk a fine line of getting everything done without crashing or burning out.
Twos are often about choices, and here you are called to assess how you're balancing your time and resources and the cost of losing that balance. Is this the right way to do things?

Next comes the five of pentacles. Here, you've lost your balance. And possibly more. You feel alone and isolated in your loss, possibly wrapped up in what you see as a failure.
Even though you lost your balance, you're not completely alone. Take stock of what you do have do you can be ready to pick yourself back up.

Finally, the two of wands. Again, there is a choice. You can reinvest in what you've already done, choosing to stay the path you were on. Or you can set out on a new journey.
It may be scary to think of giving up on what you've invested so much in, but to get something you haven't had, you must do something you haven't done.
The very first obstacle is your own doubt. So look ahead and plan. Know your goal, then know each step to getting there. Every small step forward counts.

Welcome back to

It's been a while since I had the chance to do a real draw, and things are still fluid in my world.

But I did get a one card draw done with my new Heaven and Hell oracle deck.

In it, we see at the bottom the demon Andromalius. He is a Great Earl of Hell. Among his powers are the return of stolen goods and revealing wickedness. Here we see he is captioned with despair.

On the top we see the angel Mumiah. This angels great purpose is announcing endings, and sowing the seeds of new beginnings.

He's captions with Endings and Rebirth.

A chapter is closing, or has closed. Right now there is the demon of despair haunting this event.

But every end offers new beginnings. Once the flames die down, the ashes will offer life anew.

Knight of cups:
Like all Knights, the Knight of Cups is a card of action. It is a card of intuition and romance and passion.
Often it shows a desire to engage in the creation of art or projects that have emotional fulfillment.
So now is the time to get back into painting, or writing, or whatever your creative flow is.
Right now, you are taking action and making choices based on your heart.
It may not make sense to others, but you know what you need to do and you are going to do it.

High priestess:

This card often appears when it is time to be still and listen to your intuition.
The High Priestess can facilitate accessing hidden knowledge and the workings of your subconscious.
The veil between you and the underworld is thin. So take the time to seek answers to things that have been bothering you.
It's also a time to work on compassion and empathy. Trust that you have the answers available, and ask the High Priestess to guide you.

6 of swords:

The 6 of Swords heralds transition.
You are moving into a new place in your life, and that means leaving the familiar behind. Some aspect of your life is ending. This card calls for you to acknowledge this ending and look toward the future.
It also warns to leave mental and emotional baggage behind. You need to process these things so they do not weigh you down in the next chapter of your journey.

King of wands:

The King of Wands represents vision and leadership. It's appearance says there is opportunity, and you are the determining factor in its success.
Unlike Knight cards, the King looks at the long term, seeing each step in the path and planning ahead. He is not impulsive. But methodical.
But when the plan is set, he will move with purpose and determination to see it through to the end.
Take the time to look over the long term goals, and know what you really want to achieve. Then go get it!

6 of Coins:
The six coins here represent a balance in give and take.
It advises those with abundance to share their bounty with others. To lend a hand when able to lift up our friends, family, and neighbors. Not just financially (though food banks can do wonders with monetary donations), but in time and energy too. Every bit you give is of value.
It also speaks to how there is no shame in accepting help when help is needed. We are built on community. So long as we work to lift ourselves up, and not just expect to be given everything, taking help when offered is part of a balance.
As we receive blessings, so too should we give back.
This lesson of return is important to remember.

"When in need, accept help. When in abundance, give back. This is part of the cycle"

The Star:
In the Major Arcana, The Star follows The Tower.
You are coming through a time of great difficulty. There has been hurt and destruction, things have changed and it has been hard.
But The Star is a card of hope.
From the ashes of the fires you have walked through, a new world will rise up. There is opportunity before you if you hold to your path and strive for those goals you've been dreaming of.
Just as the North Star guided travelers for centuries, so too The Star will guide you from the hardships to better things.

"Please, keep going. You're almost there"

Ace of Coins:
As The Star heralds hope, the Ace of Coins shows a positive new beginning. There is great potential for success and reaching your goals.
This is not to suggest that it's a done deal. There will be work ahead. But a current of achievement and growth and healing lies before you. All you have to do is keep going.
Embrace the opportunity and walk into this new beginning with open arms and a willing spirit.
The next great chapter of your life is before you.

6 of Swords:
A transition is before you. Things are changing, perhaps quickly.
While change is often difficult, leaving behind what you know and are likely comfortable with, what will come into your life will be positive and help you on your personal journey.
There will difficult decisions and compromises to be made. And you will have to address the baggage from what you leave behind. But if you do so, the new opportunities that come from this will bear incredible fruit.

"Change is seldom easy. But it is always necessary. You cannot find somewhere better if you never move on"

Queen of Swords:
The Queen of Swords represents clear and direct communication. No sugar coating or beating around the bush.
This is not to be misunderstood as being cruel. This is blunt honesty, but with tact. You take all things, including emotions, into consideration. But you do not avoid the truth for the sake of comfort.
Set clear expectations and boundaries. And then hold to them. Do not let others abuse your good nature.
Be honest and up front with what you need and what you expect. And ask that those around you do the same. So long as everyone speaks plainly and opening, without judgement or harshness, everything will go fine.

"Do not avoid speaking your truth for the comfort of others. But speak with consideration. It is a fine line, but one that is walked by the wise.

Ace of Cups:
This is a card of love. It often signifies the beginning of something new. The universal source of love is being made available to you, and asking that you share it. You always have the choice to say yes or no, but saying yes here could open a wealth of opportunity.
Perhaps a new relationship is brewing. A new friend or lover on the horizon.
Or perhaps there is a passion project you've been waiting for inspiration to begin.
Either way, now is the time to push forward and put your heart into it.
You have the access to channel power and passion into this new beginning.

"At the heart of all things is love. Love takes many forms, and can give form to many things. Now is the time to give from the abundance available to your soul. Share it where you can"

Now, to this week's cards!

The Hermit:
The Hermit often appears when the time has come to withdraw your focus from the external world, and reevaluate your path, explore your deeper feelings, and consider your journey.
Perhaps the path you're on is no longer right for you, or you've reached a crossroads and you're trying to decide what to do next.
The Hermit invites you to take time to consider who you've become and what you really want. Now is the time for introspection and consideration.

"No matter how far you've come, you must always take time to check in with yourself inside. Sit in the quiet and make sure you know where you are."

7 of Cups:
Before you are choices and the time is coming for you to make a decision. But this card warns you to not give in to fantasy or illusion. You need to be able to separate what you want things to be from the reality. It's easy to fall victim to blind hope, but ignoring what is does not give you what you want.
Make your choice, but be sure you accept the situation for what it actually is and not what you hope it will become.

"Hope is a two edged blade. It drives you forward, but you must not hope blindly. Do not close your eyes to reality."

The World:
This is it. This is what you have sought out and fought for. A goal is within reach, you can almost taste it.
The World card represents accomplishment or acquiring of a desired object or goal.
If you take the time to truly engage in the introspection of The Hermit, and you avoid the illusion and wishful thinking warned of by the 7 of Cups, you will arrive where you want to.

"What you've worked for is near. Do not give up, you are close. Proceed with thought, and eyes open. And the world is yours."

Temperance:
Recently, there has been a firey push to achieve and complete projects. This was beneficial.
But now it is time to reassess and balance the energy in your life.
You've spent a lot of focus on what you have been after, and may be leaning to far forward now. Take a step back and let the equilibrium in your life restore while you plan the next step.

"There must be balance, both within and without. Otherwise, you will fall"

Knight of Coins:
The knights are cards of action, of doing things. This card calls on you now to plan.
While temperance calls for rest and rebalancing, you don't have to be idle.
Take this time to consider the next step. Evaluate the plans you have and look for ways to improve, or double check you are prepared.
Don't stress yourself with planning, but use your time wisely to build your future actions.

"Everything comes with a plan, even recovery from the plan"

The Fool:
Now is a te of opportunity. New doors are opening and now that you've put in such effort on your goals, you can watch those moments begin to appear and show you new paths you can take.
While you are balancing, and planning, be mindful of what new opportunities may appear as a result of your hard work.

"New beginnings can show up anywhere! They are never only at THE beginning"

Knight of Swords:
The knight of Swords as appeared for us before. And recently.
As before, this card shows energy and drive to complete a goal. Striking first and pushing ahead no matter what.
This time however, there feels like there is something holding the plans back. The energy is still there, but a crucial piece is missing.
Don't let the energy go to waste just because you have to wait. Find another productive release for your energy and focus! What else can you do to build towards your goals?

"An obstacle can be an opportunity to focus on another aspect of your goal."

4 of Coins:
This card shows an abundance of resources. But there is a fear of running out that might not be justified.
Tied with the knight of Swords reading, there is a hesitancy to use the resources that are there. Don't be afraid to make use of what you have. Be clever in your use, but don't hoard your wealth without purpose. Find productive uses for what you have. Even if that is simply enjoying life. That is a healthy use too.

"Do not let unreasonable fear prevent you from building with what you have. You have earned your abundance. Now use it."

High Priestess:
The High Priestess is the ruler of the boundary between the conscious and subconscious. Now is the time to use your intuition. Ask yourself what is holding you back from working towards your goal (knight of swords) and why you are hesitant to use what you have (4 of coins).
The High Priestess will help you answer these questions, and once they are answered there will be nothing that can stop you!

"I can lead you to the answers that otherwise elude your perceptions. Come, let us remove the obstacles to your success."

Hail Jupiter! Bringer of prosperity and abundance!

Every week on Thursday, which is the day of Jupiter, on the hour of Jupiter, I make offering and petitions to for financial security and growth.

A lot of people in the spiritual community have an aversion to money Magick. But money is just energy. A concept that was built and focused on.

And it's one that is an unavoidable necessity, for good or ill.

Jupiter had been incredibly giving with blessings during this pandemic. Despite many obstacles and sudden changes, all my bills stay paid. I've even been able to help others who are struggling occasionally.

Hail Jupiter, mighty Jove! Thank you for your blessings and many boons. May your name be sung to the highest heavens and the offerings given multiply!
