37 🌿

i slipped quietly into this next chapter…

just presence, nature, and celebrating another year on this earth.

i chose to step off grid for the final days of 36.

to honour the closing of a year that asked a lot of me, and to welcome 37 with slowness, with intention.

no service. no scrolling. no noise.
just…

daily swims.
dirt under my nails.
sun on my skin.
meals shared and savoured.
barefoot walks and belly laughs.
time with my husband.
sitting around the fire.
and space to come home to myself.

i’ve celebrated all of my 30s here in the west kootenays, a place that has shaped me more deeply than i ever imagined.

in the earlier years, it was all about big alpine missions, pushing limits and chasing peaks.

but these days, life feels different.

as i walk beside my senior lab, rowdy, i’m reminded that slowing down is not just okay, it’s sacred.

the mountains will always be there.
right now, it’s about presence.

this birthday, i gave myself the gift of stillness.
my nervous system softened.
my heart opened.
and i remembered (again) how healing the present moment can be.

as i step into this next year,
i carry the knowing that joy is simple.
that connection is sacred.
and that the earth holds the medicine, always.

if you’ve been craving a reset, a slow down, a reconnection.

consider this your reminder that you’re allowed to unplug, too.

you don’t have to wait for a birthday.
your life is worth celebrating today.

still beaming from the mountain wellness retreat. 💗

gathering, sharing, laughing, crying ~ reminding ourselves that we are not in this alone.

we are held by each other.we are held by mother nature.we are held by those who came before us.

there is something profoundly healing about being in a space where every woman just gets it. where words aren’t always needed because the understanding is already there. where stories are shared, fears are released, and resilience is witnessed in the most raw and beautiful ways.

as a fellow breast cancer thriver, it is the greatest gift to stand alongside these women, not just as a facilitator, but as someone who has an understanding of the depth of what they’ve walked through. every retreat reminds me that healing isn’t a solo journey. it happens in the moments of connection, in the quiet support, in the laughter that rises after tears, in the courage to keep showing up, for ourselves and for one another.

to these incredible women: thank you for your vulnerability, your strength, and your willingness to open your hearts. you are proof that we are never alone in this.

and to anyone navigating breast cancer: you are seen, you are supported, and you are capable of more than you know. 💖

this retreat wouldn’t be possible without the hands and hearts behind it!

to the generous sponsors who continue to show up for this community, thank you:

your support creates space for healing, adventure, and connection. thank you for believing in this work.

and again, to my fellow facilitators, and ✨ you are the kind of women who make this world softer, stronger, and more beautiful. it is an honour to stand beside you in this work. truly.

if you’ve ever felt the power of community, drop a 💗 in the comments. and if you know someone who needs this reminder today, tag them below.

Today holds a deeply special place in my heart. Not only is it Winter Solstice—a time of endings and new beginnings—but it is also the day, six years ago, that my life was forever changed. I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer.

At the time, the news felt like an unfathomable weight, but as the seasons shifted, so did my perspective. What began as the darkest moment of my life became the spark for my greatest transformation. Looking back, it feels almost poetic that this life-altering news arrived on the solstice—a day that embodies both the longest night and the promise of growing light.

I often say cancer was the wildest gift I never asked for. This is the gift cancer gave me: the gift of self-awareness, self-love, and self-empowerment. It challenged me to rebuild from the ground up—not just my body, but my mind, my spirit, and my entire perspective.

Through this journey, I was given something so profound: the opportunity to recreate myself. I opened the door to possibilities I never imagined, and in doing so, I found myself. That is a gift beyond words.

Each year, as this day comes around, I reflect on the lessons it has brought me: the courage it takes to face the unimaginable, the strength that lies in trusting your body and intuition, and the beauty of living a life true to your beliefs. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been the most rewarding journey of my life.

Today, I celebrate not just survival but transformation and rebirth. I am reminded that sometimes the most profound changes come from the darkest moments. Just as the solstice teaches us, we must embrace the shadows to truly see the light.

As the world shifts into the season of light, I invite you to reflect on the changes you’ve gone through. No matter where you are or what challenges you face, honour where you’ve been, celebrate how far you’ve come, and hold space for the magic that lies ahead. Lean into the possibilities unfolding before you. And know that even in the darkest seasons, there is always light to be found.

Happy Winter Solstice, dear souls. ❄️✨

early on in my diagnosis, i realized my mindset diverged from the usual narrative. it was never about battling my cancer or myself, and i refused to be at war with my own body. instead, i chose love.

rather than fighting against my body, i listened to her, nurtured her, trusted her, and embraced the wisdom she had to offer. through love, i found clarity and strength.

self-love holds a transformative power that far surpasses conflict. by loving ourselves, we unlock the magic that arises from belief in our inner resilience. our struggles bear gifts that only self-compassion can reveal, teaching us lessons that guide us toward our truest selves.

let’s rewrite the narrative. embrace self-love, trust your intuition, and honour the power within you.

if you’re navigating a life-altering experience like cancer and need guidance in trusting your body and inner voice, i’m here to support you. together, we’ll harness the power of love and intuition on your journey.

with love always,
bee

happy spring equinox 🌿✨

let me be real, it's been a challenging winter for me. being apart from my love almost all season combined with dark, rainy days, made it feel extra very heavy. this winter, really forced me into introspection, pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and dig deep for resilience. but as the earth now tilts towards the sun, a new life begins to emerge and my energy begins to build. i can now shake off the stagnant energy and prepare to create and cultivate a renewed sense of hope and excitement. one could even say, i am buzzing! 🐝

i am without question, welcoming the sunshine and the longer, brighter days ahead, where i can immerse myself in the healing embrace of nature even more and lay in the sun like a lizard. 🦎 plus, welcome my hubby home in the coming weeks. 💛

to celebrate spring equinox, here are three rituals/practices to infuse your life with the magic of this transformative time:

morning meditation and sun salutation:

start your day by connecting with the rising sun. find a quiet spot, close your eyes, and breathe deeply. visualize yourself absorbing the revitalizing energy of the sun, filling you with warmth and vitality. follow this with a series of sun salutations, allowing your body to stretch and awaken in harmony with nature.
nature walk and grounding practice:

take a leisurely stroll outdoors and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. connect with all your senses. notice the vibrant colours, the fresh scents, the new sounds, the gentle breezes. as you walk, focus on grounding yourself by feeling the earth beneath your feet. with each step, imagine any tension or negativity being released into the ground, leaving you feeling centered and rejuvenated.
spring cleaning for mind, body, and spirit:

use this seasonal shift as an opportunity to declutter and cleanse all aspects of your life. start by tidying up your physical space, clearing out any items that no longer serve you. then, turn your attention inward and practice emotional and mental decluttering. journaling, cord cutting, or talking with a trusted friend or therapist can help you release any pent-up emotions or thoughts that are holding you back. finally, nourish your body with cleansing foods, herbs and beverages to support your physical health and overall well-being.
let’s welcome the arrival of spring with open arms and an open heart, knowing that brighter days are ahead for all of us. may this season bring you growth, healing, + abundance in every aspect of your life! 🌿✨

🌻 stressors out, nature in! 🌳

this quote has been with me for over five years.

it was written by my husband on this whiteboard right by our front door so I had to read it every day. I recently took this board down and it has brought up all kinds of feelings.

when my husband first wrote this down for me, I had no idea what was in store for me. but I knew I had to change. I received this diagnosis as a sign to wake up and listen to my body. it was time to get real with myself and address the root causes that caused my body to be out of alignment.

and for me, I was able to name one area right away that I knew needed to be addressed:

stress

so that’s where I started. and one of the very first things I knew helped lower my stress levels:

nature

I knew if I wanted to get clear and listen to my intuition, I had to get out in nature. I had to ground myself.

being amongst nature calms us, it helps melt away any stress we are carrying, and it brings our cortisol levels down, allowing our nervous system to take a breath, like the trees, while helping reduce inflammation within the body. and let’s be real, everything around us becomes more vibrant when we have to face our mortality.

when we are in nature, we are pulled back into our bodies. It allows us to see who we are. you can start receiving the answers from within. creating balance, ease, and deep reverence for these vessels that carry us through our physical journey. we are biological beings, we are charged by this earth.

listen, there is no one-size-fits-all for cancer. there is no single reason as to why a person gets cancer.

but why not do what we can to minimize our risk and live a life more in alignment with ourselves and this earth?

DM me to take the first step towards a holistic, nature-infused healing journey. your path to wellness starts now. 💚

Be willing.

Be willing to grasp the truth that you came in with seven billion other people to be a force of change, and you’ve got a great purpose.

Let the path unfold before you, expect doors to open, but have no expectations on which doors those will be.
