🌸 As a grief therapist, I want to gently remind you: grief isn’t just something you feel, it’s something your whole body goes through.

🌸 When someone you love is gone, your brain has to re-learn the world without them. That’s why grief can feel like fog, panic, or exhaustion. It’s not just sadness, it’s the nervous system trying to reorient.

🌸 There is nothing wrong with you. You’re not doing it “wrong.”
This is what it means to love deeply and lose.

🌸 Take your time. Your system is doing hard, sacred work. 🤍

🌸 Grieving a su***de loss is different.

🤍 It is complex, isolating, and often misunderstood. If you’re carrying this kind of grief, or love someone who is, you do not have to do it alone.

🤍 I’ll be holding a supportive, gentle, confidential and therapeutic group space to help you process, reflect, and feel seen as you navigate su***de loss.

🤍 It’ll be a time to reflect, express, and breathe in community.

✨ Here’s what to expect:
* Guided grief reflections from a grief therapist.
* Creative expression through writing or art therapy (you’ll choose what feels best)
* Somatic breathwork for grounding and release.
* A safe, private, and trauma-informed space.
* Take-home grief tools & resources for ongoing support.
* A grounding, open-air garden setting for peace and reconnection.

✨ You are warmly invited to bring symbols of your grief.. a photo, object, letter, or anything that connects you to your person.

✨ You’re also welcome to bring items that help you feel soothed and safe:

🤍 Whether your grief is recent or long-held, you’re
welcome exactly as you are.

🤍 This space holds no judgment.. only care, softness, and shared humanity.

✨ Follow the link in my bio to sign up ✨

✨ Ever wanted to crawl under the covers and stay there forever? Or lash out when emotions hit hard?

✨ Yeah, me too. But sometimes the best thing we can do is the opposite of what our emotions are telling us. That’s where Opposite Action comes in.

✨ Opposite Action is a DBT skill used to regulate emotions by acting opposite to urges that arise from unhelpful or misaligned emotional responses.

This post covers the what, when, and how of Opposite Action:
✅ When emotions don’t fit the facts
✅ When emotions are valid but acting on them won’t serve us
✅ How to intentionally engage in behaviors that challenge the emotional impulse

✨ This skill takes courage as it’s hard to go against what we feel.

✨ But it’s also one way we can begin to shift patterns, regulate emotions, and move toward the life we actually want to build.

Ever feel like you’re constantly choosing others over yourself?
This post is for you 🌸

✨ There are so many reasons we learn to leave ourselves.
To be safe. To be chosen. To keep the peace.
And over time, it becomes automatic, saying yes when we mean no, silencing our needs, making ourselves small.

✨ This post is for the part of you that’s exhausted from disappearing.

✨ Coming back to yourself is an act of courage. One small moment at a time.
Tell me, what’s one way you’re choosing yourself lately?

💚

✨ If you’ve been feeling a little more anxious or stuck lately… especially about the future, this one’s for you.

✨ Sometimes what we call “overthinking” is really our nervous system trying to make sense of uncertainty.

✨ In this post, I’m sharing 4 quiet reasons that might be behind the tension we feel when we look ahead — and maybe a reminder that you’re not alone in it.
If any of this lands, take a breath.

✨ You’re allowed to move slowly. You’re allowed to not have it all figured out.
You’re still doing just fine.

✨ Save this for when you need a little softness. Or send it to someone who might need this reminder today.

✨ And I’d love to know, which one spoke to you most?

💙

🌸 If you’re grieving the years that feel like a blur, the ones spent in survival mode, be a little more gentle with yourself 🌸

You didn’t waste them.
You were doing what you had to do to stay here.

And maybe now, with a little more safety, you’re remembering.
Or feeling.
Or rebuilding.
That doesn’t mean you’re late, it just means that you finally have the space to begin 🌸

Maybe someone in your world needs to hear this too, feel free to share ✨

🌸 What therapy can look like for survivors of sexual trauma: choice at every step, no pressure to tell the whole story, and care that meets you where you are, not where someone else thinks you should be.

🌸 It’s not about “fixing” what happened.

🌸 It’s about coming home to yourself — with safety, with slowness, and with someone who honors your truth.

🌸 There’s no timeline. No checklist.

🌸 Just you, being met with the compassion that you have always deserved.

🌸 You can reconnect with your body, understand your trauma, and begin to create a future that feels empowering and in your control.

🌸 Healing is a journey, and therapy is one important tool for recovery.

I’m still reeling from the immersive learning experience that was YouthPlus! 😍

✨ I really enjoyed facilitating the personal wellness village where we unpacked what it truly means to create a legacy of wellness in breaking inter generational trauma patterns and choosing to do better more and more everyday.

✨ Having people feel safe enough to share their stories in that space warmed my heart in so many ways.. the kids are gonna be alright! 🥳🥳

✨ It was also lovely to vend my mental health journals and get to interact with people on their healing journeys and create safe spaces for people to explore therapy too.

✨ All the villages and panels were quite inspiring to learn from and experience.

✨ Asante sana and for having me 🙏🏾 it was a lovely experience!

🌸 A healthy amount of external validation is needed for your mental well-being, but how much is too much?

🌸 It feels good to be praised, to have your feelings affirmed, to be told you did a good job, and to be appreciated.

🌸 You might seek too much validation as an adult if you received too little or too much external validation in childhood. This may affect how you manage your emotions, personality, and attachment style.

🌸 Validating your thoughts and emotions will help you calm yourself and manage them more effectively. Validating yourself will help you accept and better understand yourself, which leads to a stronger identity and better skills at managing intense emotions.

🌸 We ought to learn how to validate ourselves. External validation should be in addition to self-validation, not in place of it.
