Downshifting at career: what is it and why do we need it sometimes🧐

Lately, many clients come with the topic of burnout or loss of meaning in pursuing further career growth.

Some of them choose a new path for themselves, such as downshifting - a reduction in aspiration to become the richest person in the world, an unwillingness to further achieve a higher social status in the eyes of their colleagues and friends.

They decide to do a simple job, reduce the number of working hours or change their profession altogether to one that does not require a lot of time, resources, responsibility and countless stresses from them.

Of course, downshifting requires a voluntary reduction in their income, but instead they get more free time for more important things in life, new ideas and projects.

In my opinion, downshifting is useful for people who are stuck in definite routines and want to find new ways towards the personal development.

Downshifting will also help to improve your mental and physical health, give you the opportunity to spend more time with your family and friends, unlock your hidden creative potential, rethink your life👨‍👩‍👦‍👦💃

4 ways to manage anxiety😥

✅Breathe: incredibly simple controlled breathing techniques can instantly lower your heart rate, for example, when your negative thoughts are overwhelming you.
✅Focus or meditation: Mental health can be improved by meditating and focusing on the moment or on the breath.
✅Movement: Physical activity reduces anxiety. It can be fast walking, yoga, dancing, gardening, or climbing stairs. If you do this regularly, you can improve your memory and clear mind, as well as reduce your risk of everything from depression to cancer.
✅Sleep: Poor sleep causes anxiety. Eight hours or more of sleep is normal. This will improve your nervous system as well as your youth and beauty❤️

Life in a foreign country

I left my homeland a long time ago and have been living in Switzerland for many years now.
I used to think that moving abroad was a chance to start from “scratch”, but the reality is that you don't have to change where you live to make a difference; you just have to be willing to make a change within yourself 🤔

Everything was going "well" at first: family, child, trying to find my ideal job, travelling etc.

But...there was a growing internal feeling of loneliness, dissatisfaction, a feeling that I was a guest not belonging, a desire to return and homesickness.

There were many disagreements with my husband because of different cultures, but the main reason for all the problems was my dissatisfaction with myself and my inner conflict.

I realised it was time to see a psychologist and found the Swiss model of systemic coaching.
After the training I found the keys to my problems and decided to enter this academy and train myself to help people.

I would like to share with you how I "conquer" the media…

I recently started promoting myself on social media, as most of my clients come from referrals.

I started actively researching marketing strategies myself and one of my clients offered to help❤

What can I say:

✅I need to find my client niche and actively promote myself in it.

✅I have to concentrate on one platform, each social network has its own strict "face control";

✅I can't write long texts or record long videos, the audience is fully mine only for the first 20 seconds;

✅Nice packaging is very important, especially on instagram, Linkedin;

✅etc…

Unfortunately, it all takes so much time and resources, and I want to consult all the time and improve people's lives.

How else is it possible to prove the uniqueness and stand out from the huge flow of other professionals?🤔

What is “hygge” or "Danish happiness" all about😍

Being in Copenhagen for only three days, I decided to devote as much time as possible to observing people from the professional side.

What conclusions I drew as a psychologist 👩‍⚕️

❤️Danish people are genuinely welcoming and friendly, and thus exchange positive energy with each other.
❤️ Despite the cold season, a lack of sun, Copenhagen is full of "unspoken happiness" and walking through the streets you feel unity and harmony with the city and people.
❤️When you return home, you get a "pleasant aftertaste" and a desire to go back for a new "Danish hygge".

And I also think, based on the books I have already read about Denmark and the people, that they are happy because they allow themselves to live as they want and as they like💫
