READ this article for The TRUTH about the proposed cuts by the The White House. The receiving funding are NOT going to be CUT. Why? Because Medicaid was created for the neediest of who qualify. Wrongly and shamefully, the physically and cognivitely, profoundly disabled are being used and marketed to keep those in Medicaid who should NOT be in it. Jennifer, the profoundly disabled in this propagandized, story proves it. They are using her story to rally support to stop the proposed Medicaid cuts knowing it will NOT EFFECT her and those Medicaid was created--the "special coverage category" they call in story. DIRECTLY from below story-- "Jennifer’s benefits shouldn’t be affected by looming federal cuts to Medicaid because she’s in a special coverage category for people with profound intellectual and developmental disabilities."

Advocates warn that reductions created by the recent congressional budget may destabilize group homes and strain already fragile systems.

From The Horses Mouth--President Donald Trump responds to the Medicaid cuts saying, "Here's what I want on Medicaid. We're not touching anything," Trump told reporters at the Capitol on Tuesday. "All I want is one thing. Three words. We don't want any waste, fraud or abuse. Very simple — waste, fraud, abuse."

President Trump met with congressional Republicans on Capitol Hill and said that their tax cut bill's Medicaid changes are focused on cutting fraud, waste and abuse.

There has been too much confusion and fear mongering in IL created from the media and government-funded agencies and organizations about The White House Donald J. Trump Executive Order freeze from the Office of Management and Budget (BMO). Below is the information and facts pertaining to who it affects. Please read it to understand it only pertains to funding related to “programs, project and activities impacted by the president’s executive orders, such as ending DEI, the green new deal, and funding nongovernmental organizations that undermine the national interest.” Go to the source and validate the facts first before falling prey to the spin.

Curious what your thoughts are about a new law, HB5129 https://legiscan.com/IL/text/HB5129/id/2920509. It amends the Mental Health and Intellectual Developmental Disabilities (IDD) code making it easier to deem someone as a threat to society.

In 2018, people with were lumped into the same category as the , even though many with IDD do not have, or will never develop .

For decades, IDD advocates and family members have fought for civil rights and inclustion, trying to remove negative social stigmas assocated with IDD. Often time people with IDD are described as being scary or threatening because of communication barriers, looks or behaviors.

Will this his broad law which give more power to the state destroy the decades of advancement for people with IDD?

Wondering if the on across the states has affected the delivery of IL patients, too? We have heard that a disabled patient was unable to get the state to process a payment for a seizure medication. According to a pharmacy working with IL Medicaid the state was unable to process the co-pay due to "system issues." They are hoping that the problems are resolved by Monday. Is anyone else having Medicaid pharmacy payment processing issues, too?

Pharmacies across the United States are reporting that they are having difficulty getting prescriptions to patients because of a cyberattack on a unit of UnitedHealth.

I am a live-in caretaker/parent of an adult receiving Home and Community Based Support. I have sent in all my paperwork to exempt out of the Electronic Visit Verification time processing and have been doing my time sheet on the Mycil.org. I finally got used to the one-line site and electronic time submission. Today, I logged in to my time sheet and found the time sheet and template prompt has been removed and replaced with the below pic, which looks like a prompt for EVV time recording only. I called Mycil support at 877-223-7781 and pressed 1 for customer service. I waited 5 minutes and then an automated voice message came on saying, "Sorry we cannot answer you call, please leave you name and number and we will call you back." Is anyone else having an issue trying to submit time sheets online? Since the online support sites are for NON-Live in PSWs in the HBCS program, I would like to hear back from the live in caretaker/parents to find if they are having issues, too.

My bill would do what at least 17 other states have done by removing the burdensome paperwork requirement.
