Our residents at Grove House recently loved the time they spent making some delicious strawberry sandwiches.
This simple, yet gorgeous sandwich from Japan features brioche bread, cream cheese & whipped cream, and perfect fresh strawberries. We couldn’t imagine having strawberries and cream in anything other than a Victoria sponge, but this was delicious!

Our BBQ Party was the highlight of our month. The courtyard buzzed with excitement as staff and residents prepared for the big day.
The scent filled the air while the BBQ sizzled with burgers and sausages grilled by our Chef's Andrew & Debbie. Everyone enjoyed the party as music from 50's and 60's played in the background.

Last week our ladies and gents visited Kilnsey Park, a great place to unwind and watch the anglers fishing. There is a nice nature trail to wander round and enjoy the peaceful settings. Then we headed off to have a really delicious lunch at Red Lion’s in Burnsall, and the service was excellent.

Residents at Grove House were treated to a vibrant celebration of French culture as the home marked Bastille Day with food, music, and colourful decorations. We learned some fun facts, trivia about France and the residents were encouraged to share their experiences travelling to France.
Gail & Ollie from “Snuggle Staffing”, kindly offered to prepare a cheese board and brought to our residents French chocolate and Madeleines from France. Thank you very much for the delicious treats.
We had a fun drawing competition where residents were encouraged to create a caricature of each other.
We all thoroughly enjoyed celebrating France’s national day. 🇫🇷

Our residents had a wonderful afternoon decorating wooden spoons with Nigel Eaton from Moss & Moor Garden Centre. It was fun and engaging for our residents and the decorated spoons will be displayed in the Ilkley Flower show later this year. We would like to say a big thank you to Nigel for an incredible experience. 🎨
