Nothing worthwhile in life is ever easy. Things take time to progress. I wanted to share part of my journey and progress from Aug 2019-NOW. It has not been easy the past few months in staying focused on what I wanted but my drive to FEEL better was thankfully stronger. I love food and I want to enjoy myself so it is a tender balance to allow myself to live and enjoy things and also stay focused on being more fit and in less pain. Being overweight for me was me being in a bad head space and not dealing with loss appropriately. After battling for 5 years with grief I reached a turning point to make myself better and not perfect! For me it was the pain my body felt that motivated me to make this change. What are your struggles that you battle with? What is in the way of your goals? Be honest with yourself and be kind and you can also obtain the things you want in your life.

I was in the 145lbs range in the 1st photo, this was progress for me at the time that photo was taken back in March 2018 Now my progress is different. 2nd photo I was in the 128lbs range that was taken in Feb 2020 we are always changing. One of the things I love about coaching and helping people obtain their goals in movement is that I get to serve people.I get to provide a service in the comfort of their home. I get to see them progress and get stronger, more mobile and in decreased pain. This is what I am thankful for. I am in a position to help make a difference in people's lives. I love what I do and I could not imagine doing anything else as a career. I look forward to continuing my growth in taking care and serving more and more clients.

Need to challenge yourself with a different exercise? Stuck doing the same workouts at home? Try some fun shoulder touches in plank. This is a fun challenging exercise. You work on using multiple muscle groups while challenging your core. My wrists felt sore on this one but not as bad as other times when I could not get my hands in this position at all without bad pain. Movement is a work in progress. My form is not perfect but I liked pushing through the discomfort to challenge my OWN body. Sometimes we get caught up in comparing ourselves to how others move. We have to start with what we have with our own body. No such thing as a perfect moment everyone has variations in their body. We must stay focused on our goals and abilities. Happy Motivation Monday!
Struggling to challenge your back and arms during your quarantine workouts? Try this resistance band row. All you need is a heavy resistance band, no need for handles. Step on the ends and have enough slack on the band that you can pull it up and work on your rows. This is an important exercise that works multiple muscle groups. It's good to challenge your body in different workouts. It's important to work on having a strong back, it helps with your posture that can also decrease pain and discomfort.
