Magnesium is such a key mineral that it deserves it’s own post with some guidelines.

We all have a lot of excuses for this one...
 
I know the word “excuses” can be triggering - it implies that the reasons you have for not being able to go to bed earlier or create better sleep routines and hygiene are not real. They may very well be, but the point is trying to make is that sleep is Queen and should be prioritized accordingly. It can have a surprising domino effect on so many other symptoms of perimenopause and menopause.

We should also NOT go back to being cardio bunnies.

It’s a tool that can be used very effectively when applied appropriately.

Weight training is my main focus and cardio is something I use in certain doses to optimize results across the board.

I saw someone say recently that being a “muscle mommy” was just the latest fad and unattainable aesthetic that women were being told they had to achieve.

First off - I agree. Building muscle has been turned into something we’re supposed to do to have a certain shredded aesthetic, which is again often what all health advice comes back to for women - how it looks.

I’m not interested in you being a muscle mommy while it’s trendy and then having to pivot to whatever the next “look” is when it shows up in our feeds.

I’m interested in you building muscle for all the other science backed benefits. How your jeans fit will be the icing on the cake.

I’m interested in you looking at your health as a long game.

I’m interested in you understanding the core frameworks of metabolism, muscle, meals, mindset and hormones so that you can stop spinning in circles.
