Diet culture preaches that food's sole purpose is to fuel us physically, and that eating for any other reason is "wrong" or “bad.” But that's total bullsh*t—if we were only meant to "eat to live," why would different foods, dishes, or culinary traditions even exist in the first place? Why would we even experience pleasure in food if it was really so morally reprehensible? - We’re wired to find food pleasurable, and that’s nothing to be ashamed of or guilty about. Food is SO much more than fuel, and a peaceful relationship with food is about allowing food to nourish not just your body, but also your mind and your soul.
