Be honest. Really.
write down the status of the aspects of these categories.
How do you feel about these?
And what is the 'explanation' , the 'story' ? Are these stories real, or you made them up to feel better?
Spent time to look at the facts and the explanation attached to them.
Be honest. Don't lie to yourself.
If you notice the little everyday lies, you will see what you need to change.
The house is untidy; it's bad, I feel ashamed, but I'm so busy I can't clean everything, I need to work, pick up kids, cook dinner...I have no time to deal with everything.
1) what does it mean, 'untidy' week-old pizza slice under the couch? or some dust behind the chair? how do you define 'untidy' ?
2) What do you need to change to be 'tidy' ? Whatever it means. When you have pizza, throw the box into the bin, while the kettle boil (approx. 2.5 mins) just get the broom and swipe the floor. Normally if you swipe up once or twice, there won't be so bad by the weekend.
3) now you know what you need to do. Do it. Instead of swiping your phone, swipe the floor while the kettle is busy boiling the water for your tea.
Of course it's a small and easy fix. But hopefully now you can see what I mean, when I ask you to be honest with yourself.
