Try to keep from clenching or gripping your glutes.

You can’t just assume that your pelvic floor muscles are puny and inactive, and causing your bladder leaks.
Tight muscles tend to present like puny, inactive muscles. Because they are!
Several things can cause tight pelvic floor muscles, including:
💦Stress
💧Posture
💦Shallow breathing
💧Muscle imbalance/incoordination
💦Pelvic pain
💧Low back pain
This is why Kegels are not always the answer.
Kegels make tight pelvic floor muscles worse.
Therefore, making your leaks worse.

💦Drink your water, folks!
Dehydration irritates the lining of your bladder wall.
If your bladder is irritated, just like you and I, it gets cranky.
A cranky bladder will cause leaks, urgency and frequency issues.
Drink your water! BUT
Don’t add anything to your water that is a bladder irritant.
Such as
🚫Artificial sweeteners found in many flavor packets
🚫Lemon and lime
Instead of these bladder irritants try
✅Cucumber
✅Mint
✅Berries

Hovering over the toilet feels like the right thing to do when you are in public, 🤢
BUT you are disrupting the natural coordination of your bladder and pelvic floor.
Making your symptoms of leaks, urgency, frequency worse.
And continuing the cycle of your frustrating bladder control issues.
I challenge you to start sitting all the way down on the toilet and relaxing your legs, butt, and pelvic floor when you pee.
(Carry gloves and wipes with you if needed.)
You will be more likely to fully empty your bladder, and
