Having practiced different styles of Yoga for several years, Elaine found her roots in the Ashtanga Yoga practice in 2007 upon her completion of her first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. Since then, Elaine has completed the additional 300-hour training to become a RYT-500 along with many other trainings in Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga; the latest of her trainings, was a yearlong in-depth study of asana, philosophy, anatomy, meditation, chanting and breathing at Ashtanga University with Greg Nardi and Amanda Palermo of Grassroots Yoga. She structures her classes to provide an environment that empowers students and allows them to discover more of themselves, who they are and what they need. Elaine’s emphasis on the power of the breath to access the movement of and the space in the body, enable the practitioner to create a sense of balance and calm in order to enrich the process of supporting and healing mind, body & spirit. She shares a home with her husband in Royal Palm Beach, FL and has two beautiful children. She’s an educator by trade, has a Master’s Degree in Exceptional Student Education and has an over 28 year long career with the School District of Palm Beach County. Her educational background enhances her ability to share the yoga practice in a way that makes it accessible for all.
