Caitriona O'Meara - Equine Training Solutions and I were honoured to be asked present at Croatian conference yesterday, Equine Assisted Interventions.

We spoke about the mental health model of equine assisted psychotherapy that is the Eagala model.
The presentation highlighted the four pillars of the model and emphasised the team of three, with the horses being a vital and equal part of that team🐴🥰

Hopefully next time we’ll get there in person 😉

Women's Well-being Morning Group Through Horses

This is a montly group for Women seeking
connection, reflection & emotional growth, through the only qualified mental health equine assisted service in County Kerry.

No horse experience or riding involved. Participants get to explore lifes transitions emotional patterns, boundaries, relationships & personal strengths in a safe, friendly, experiential setting. Insight &/ meaningful change is guided by the horses. The horses just know, they know what you need, they are powerful at this work.

Healing doesn’t come from force.

Some children don’t need more words.

They need space to breathe.
Time to settle.
And permission to move at their own pace.

Horses offer that naturally.

They don’t rush the child.
They don’t demand eye contact.
They don’t expect explanations.

They simply stay — until the child feels safe enough to meet them.

And often, that’s where trust begins 🤍🐎

Feeling safe is an essential human right that everyone deserves. Especially for children and young people, a safe environment is instrumental to their wellbeing and education. The numbers speak for themselves. We must do better to protect women and children 🏛️♀️
