My name is Kris Jeakins, and as the owner of Jeakins Counseling, I’m passionate about building a vibrant and supportive mental health community right here in the Black Hills. That’s why I’m truly excited to announce the launch of my new endeavor—the Black Hills Mental Health Collaborative.
This isn’t just a new business; it’s a vision for how we, as dedicated therapists, can support each other while also delivering even better care to those we serve. At the Collaborative, my hope is to create a welcoming space where professionals can connect, grow, and lift each other up—all with the shared goal of making a positive impact in our community.
We’re putting the finishing touches on our office space, and there are just a handful of offices left—each about 8 by 12 feet, thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and professionalism for your practice.
If you’re running your own private practice and looking for a community that values collaboration and independence, I’d love to chat. We offer flexible options, whether you’d like to stay independent, work as a 1099 contracted therapist, or join us under the Jeakins Counseling umbrella for supervision.

Hello! My name is Ali Anderson, and I recently opened a private practice - Crux Counseling, LLC. I am a recent graduate of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at South Dakota State University. I am working as a pre-licensed professional under the supervision of Kris Jeakins, MS, NCC, LPC-MH, QMHP, CCTP-II. I
have immediate availability and I am now accepting new clients.
I work with individuals 16 years of age and older and take a client-centered approach to counseling. I am passionate about working with individuals who are undergoing life transitions, wanting to improve relationships and communication patterns, coping with trauma and loss, struggling with substance use issues, and those managing long-term mental health conditions.
I am currently not accepting insurance, so I am utilizing a self-pay process. I am also an Open Path provider.
