Walk-In Clinic In 1991, out of the need for a Primary Care facility with lower cost than a private hospital, the ide A one-stop-shop. Talk about convenience!

Walk In Clinic History

Its first location at #35 Collins Avenue was situated in the medical hub of the Bahamas, just two minutes from the private and Government hospitals of New Providence and a shorter distance from many other private physicians’ offices and clinics. It was the first private Ambulatory Primary Care Clinic with in-house Laboratory, Pharmacy, X-ray, Ultrasound, Mammography, and Bone Density Services. In 2003, the Walk in Clinic at Sandyport opened its doors to serve the Western end of the Island while April 2010, the third Walk in Clinic opened on Carmichael road; a state of the art facility, ready to serve the ever growing population in the Southwest of the New Providence. In 2015 Sandyport was closed and a new clinic opened on Baha Mar Boulevard next to Scotia Bank at Cable Beach. The Walk in Clinic pioneered in the low cost health care within the private sector and also saw the need to be accessible to the general public by extending hours from 7am to 10pm daily, including weekends and holidays. No appointment necessary! It is also equipped with qualified doctors, registered nurses and pharmacists, certified laboratory technicians and imaging personnel. Each year, the Walk in Clinic offers special programs. These have received tremendous support and recognition from the community. Some of these services include: free flu shot vaccine for the elderly, even going into the community to administer the vaccine, free blood pressure checks, free health pamphlets on a variety of health related issues, senior citizen discount cards, which offer discounts to our pensioners, our 50% mammogram screening program and numerous other activities throughout the year for our valued clients. Satisfying a patient by responding to their needs and exceeding their expectations is of paramount importance to Shareholders, Managers and Staff. It is the company’s view to help promote better physical and mental health. Its goal is to be the role model in the community, setting the pace of the ideal health care facility.
