Join us for our THIRD annual girls I-YOU-WE MATTER Youth Symposium!
This year, we’re focusing on empowering our young women with the theme: “Be a Part of Something Bigger than Yourself.”

- Rachel Kirk of Deep Blue Scuba, LLC, will kick things off by inspiring our young ladies to try something new!

My daughter has Sickle Cell trait and in the past, they have said that those with the trait won't and don't have any complications or issues. Being a part of a community of warriors and advocates, I found that is not the case as over the years helping to deal with unique challenges for Amber Hopkins...Our Sickle Cell Warriors need your support by way of blood donations. Please consider supporting these efforts anytime you see an opportunity arise.

Hello Just a reminder:

We want to invite the community of Edgewood to attend our second listening session regarding the house bill initiated during this past legislative session to make it easier for communities to become municipalities. Although this bill did not pass, we are still having ongoing conversations about the possibility of Edgewood becoming a Municipality at some point.

We invite you to join us for the second session to hear the questions and comments from the residents, community leaders, and businesses. The second session is scheduled for Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 6-7:30 p.m. Please take a look at the attached flyer. This session will be hybrid, so everyone will need to register using the link below and let me know if you are attending in person or by Zoom.

We need to speak up for the generation behind us! This decision affects us all. I stand with State Delegate Andre Johnson and others making their voices heard regarding the decision made on June 24th at the last BOE meeting to remove AP African American History courses. Our history should be told through our lens and not by individuals who do not share our experience or understand how to properly articulate the curriculum as it was presented.

In addition, for individuals to heal, you must go to the root. Let's plan to show up on July 15th at the next BOE meeting
