How busy life gets when you’re with an active 8 year old!! To catch up a bit, Elizabeth had a spring break vacation and one of her dreams come true. Long story but I’ll break it down in a few posts.
Cruising has been the best all inclusive experience for us for travel the last 14 months. Once we are on a ship I no longer have to worry about how we are going to get anywhere. It’s all wheelchair accessible. The ports are all accessible and we always find at least one excursion she can do. In April when she had her vacation from school we flew to Houston to cruise out of Galveston on .
The second night is formal night and Elizabeth met the captain and his entire officers crew. When she was asked by one officer if this was her first cruise , Miss sassy pants told him , No, I was on the titanic.
He just looked at me like the kid was crazy and I told him, hear her out.
Since she was 3 1/2 she has told us she was on the titanic. A kid who knew NOTHING about that voyage was adamant she was on that cruise and she didn’t die on it . Again , she wasn’t even 4 and talking about this.
We have been to the titanic museum
In Pigeon forge, TN and now Branson, MO and I can honestly say this kid may have been….. but that’s the next post.
She was personally invited by the captain to come tour the bridge. offers this tour but you must be 8, and in April she was 5 weeks short of the age but she made a impression on the officers and she drew the captain a picture of his dog( how she knew he had a dog???) and left it for him at guest services.
While docked in Coasta Maya. Miss E was escorted to the bridge for her tour and she was over the moon. Captian Andreas waa just amazing with her and here are some pictures of her tour. Including where she got to blow the ships horn.
They made this kids vacation super memorable and I can’t thank Carnival Cruise Line enough.
