Loss of the ability to speak either through a learning disability or through stroke or other acquired injury is a terrible thing. Our Communication Group has been running in Burscough at the OPC for more than 12 years and is for anyone with little or no verbal speech and their support/family members. We learn key word signing (Makaton/Signalong) and if wanted, we also share skills in the use of hi tech speech aids. Everyone learns together in a fun and friendly way, and everyone is able join in. If you know anyone who might benefit, please do pass this on to them. Thanks for reading.

Our Gardening and Crafts group at the Eccy is now meeting at its new time of 1.30 to 3.30 on Thursday afternoons. We do some gardening, and in the colder weather stay indoors and do potting up or crafts but mostly we have a good chat and a laugh with friends. If you would like to join us please give us a call and we can tell you all about it.

Join our team and be welcomed into the Ecumenical Centre family, where you will find friendship, fun and if you need it, training too!
