Jane Halliday is a Consultant Neurosurgeon, sub-specializing in skull base and pituitary, based at the John Radcliffe Hospital. In this role she cares for patients with a wide variety of skull base, and pituitary lesions, manages the emergency care of Neurosurgical patients and is a core member of the Neurofibromatosis Type-2 team. She takes a holistic approach to her patients, considering lifestyle factors that contribute to illness and factoring these into her consults alongside discussions on Neurosurgical conditions and how best to manage them.
She graduated with first class honours from the University of Cambridge and after completing her foundation training went on to secure a neurosurgical training position in the North-West of England. On completion of her core neurosurgical training there she was competitively appointed into the Oxford RCS approved Anterior Skull Base and Pituitary fellowship. Following this she was appointed as a Consultant at the John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford. In addition to her core neurosurgical role she has an Oxford University Medical School teaching role, has formal and informal mentorship roles and regularly participates in research, presentations and publications. She has undertaken an MSc in healthcare leadership and has taken on a number of leadership projects and roles.
