💛⁣We should all feel the desire within ourselves to improve our day-to-day life. The kindness and compassion we have for ourselves, not only impacts self, but also impacts those within our reach.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Through my own journey, I learned what it meant to embody Radical Transformation. This was they key to making my growth in this season so meanifulful. When we embrace radical transformation, we learn how getting to the root of why change is needed or desired, allows you to grow, heal, and move through life with a lasting sense of grace and compassion for yourself and others.

Are you living with intention? 🦋 when I started living a more intentional life, I was able to break free from the chains of multitasking and autopilot that I’ve been accustomed too. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Reflecting on my core values and what this meant to me, while creating small meaningful change to support making conscious choices that supported my overall well-being by doing things that resonate with me most.

When we live with intention, we create meaningful change by taking action and making decisions that are important to you and remain true to who you are. When we live with more intention, we embody more joy.

🤍 Joy is the medicine.When we are able to receive more joy, our stress is lowered and we are able to love and appreciate life so much more.

Taking a moment to explore the things you love and are grateful for can really shift your mindset. Set yourself up to focus on what really matters throughout the day, ground yourself in the positives instead of being hung-up on the imperfections. A few ways I try to practice gratitude: Journal 3 things that I am most grateful for and 3 things that make my day great. Reflecting on my moments of gratitude has really allowed me to focus on the positive attributes of my life, rather than what’s missing and what's not in my favor. Now, I am thankful to be able to see through the noise, and consciously count my blessings. Life is so precious, and for that I am so thankful.

Learning the power of mediations has been one the best gifts to my mornings. A few minutes of mindfulness meditation can help you stay present and promote a clear mindset throughout your day. In these moments, I am able to focus on things that make me happy and feel good. Taking moments to do some deep breathing allows me to feel more energized; still loving the Ayurvedic alternate-nostril breathing I picked up from during my Panchakarma last year. This did not come easily to me but I can say that over time, I have grown to love the stillness of a morning meditation, just allowing myself to be and to wander into a space of peace and wholeness.

Before the rest of the world has access to you, allow space for your mind and body to wake up peacefully. I noticed the first thing I would do in the morning was check my phone, eager to see anything I missed while asleep. When I became more mindful about how this habit was affecting my day, I made a rule to charge my phone away from my reach, and I stopped using my computer while in bed. These small changes set the foundation for creating a more positive mindset. Owning a business, being a leader, and really just having others rely on you daily, I felt the need always to be available. I made the conscious decision that before the rest of the world has access to me; it's so important for me to ground myself and allow space for me first.

I haven't always felt solid in my morning routine. After years of chaotic mornings, I've learned to take a moment to reflect on the space I was creating for myself. I realized most mornings I was feeling overwhelmed, and it really set the tone for my day. Taking a moment to pause and reflect, I really tapped into what I was lacking to make myself feel more aligned. My mornings set the foundation for my day and I believe the key for me is to prepare the night before. I went from routine to ritual... Instead of a routine where I marked things off my checklist, I learned the key to more peaceful mornings meant I needed to create space for an evening ritual, a meaningful practice that felt purposeful to set me up for better days. Spending quality time with myself preparing for the day ahead, as well as an opportunity to embody meaningful slow-down practices really created more purpose, more intention, and more ease in my day-to-day.

Vanessa’s grandmother is who inspired her to choose nursing and healthcare. Full of love and resilience, this practice is dedicated to the years of love and nurture that Mrs. Pearl gave to her family as well as her community.
