*Person Specification*
Applicants must have at least five (5) Ordinary Level passes, including English Language, Mathematics or Accounts, HND in Purchasing and Supply or relevant commercial degree, Computer literate and at least 1-year relevant working experience.
*Duties*
- Reporting to the General Manager, the successful applicant will be assisting in supplier sourcing, rating and evaluation to best advantage for the Hotel
- Draws contracts for purchases of common consumer goods and services
- Draws up comparative schedules for suppliers for consideration by the tender Adjudication Committee (informal tenders) and the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (formal tenders),
- Assists in the scrutiny and processing of orders from various Hotel user departments prior to authorization by the Head of Departments and General Manager
- Implements sound stock control system and supervision of stationary and consumables
- Ensures that stock takes and stock checks are carried out according to calendar plan
- Supervises maintenance records, files documents in preparation for audits and working hand in hand with the stores person to ensure that the quality of commodities are sourced at the best possible prices and that all the basic ingredients are always available at the Hotel to avoid last minute buying.
