How It All Began

Actually, I have to go all the way back to my childhood if I really want to find out where it all began. All the way back to my wonderful mother raising me as healthy and natural as she knew how. I grew up with no refined sugar in our home. I tasted my first chocolate at the age of 24 and drank my first sip of coke (which I thought was digusting) at the age of 20. I have very fond memories of working in my mom’s large vegetable garden every summer and eating the vegetables straight from the garden. I have not so fond memories of spoonfuls of flaxseed oil every morning.

I went on to study health and nutrition, and graduated with my Bachelor in this field in 2011. And I was confident I knew what I needed to know in the world of health and nutrition, until my first child was born. I vividly remember the day he had his first high fever and I had to give him medication to lower the fever. I cringed on the inside knowing how hard that medicine was on his liver to detox from his little body, but also having no idea what other option I had. That experience began my search for natural solutions for my family. This is a journey, not a destination and I am constantly learning. But in the last 5 years I have collected a wealth of knowledge in this area and I love to share that with others to help them live as naturally as possible.
