Let’s clear this up: there is no such thing as a “cortisol detox.”

Cortisol isn’t a toxin — it’s a vital hormone that helps you wake up, respond to stress, and stay alive.

As a dietitian, what I see is this:
you don’t need detox teas, powders, or supplements to “flush” cortisol out. Your body already knows how to regulate it.

What actually helps balance cortisol?
• eating enough (especially carbs)
• regular meals
• proper sleep
• managing stress

Starving yourself, overtraining, or chasing “detoxes” usually raises cortisol — not lowers it.
