Hello lovely yogis. On the eve of my 47th birthday, just a little update from Menopause HQ…All studies now complete. I’m so glad I’ve taken the time to complete the Menpause 2.0 course over the summer on top of the 500 hour training. It has really enhanced and solidified my knowledge on the why of all the things I’ve been doing to feel strong, balanced and positive through menopause transition. So, I’m now going to get my head down and I’m really excited about pulling it all together. I’m not going to set a deadline. Just know curious Gill side quests are reined in 😂, and I’m shifting my focus and energy to consolidating it all together to share and help other women. We’ll be covering history of women’s health and negative stereotypes, what happens to our bodies when the hormones change (inc medically induced menopause) and why doing nothing differently is not an option, eastern perspective on menopause and how it helps us understand the science, practical examples of how we can support our bodies through what we eat, how we move, lifestyle practices, gadgets and more. Also how we can incorporate the science on optimal training for menopause into our routines where we have other forms of training we love for the social and mental health aspects. My wish is that those who take part leave armed with a fresh perspective on this stage in life, an understanding of what they can do to adjust for the changes, and an arsenal of tools to help each unique woman support her frankly amazing female physiology. I want this to be what I needed eight to ten years ago and to give two fingers up to all the negative stereotyping surrounding what menopause is and means. I also want to continue building the community of strong, kind, resilient, supportive women and enjoying seeing connections made and life experiences shared amongst you all. With much love and loads of Oms Gill ###
