As I embark on the journey towards my third trimester (still 3 weeks away), I am humbled by the remarkable creation of life. I find myself in full gratitude of my maternal body that I wanted to create a meaningful way to express this love. Here it goes 🤍
Sacred Gratitude for the Maternal Body
Beloved body, vessel of creation,
I bow to the wisdom moving within you.
To the va**na, gateway of life, preparing with strength and elasticity to one day usher forth a child—thank you.
To the cervix, keeper of the threshold, softening and ripening in its own time—thank you.
To the uterus, sacred chamber of growth, stretching beyond imagination to hold, to nourish, to cradle—thank you.
To the placenta, miraculous bridge, weaving together two beings with rivers of nourishment, oxygen, and protection—thank you.
To the bladder, learning patience as it makes way for new presence—thank you.
To the hips and pelvis, widening, softening, and expanding with wisdom to create a passage and a cradle of support—thank you.
To the stomach and digestive system, adjusting, shifting, making sacrifices so nourishment may flow where it is most needed—thank you.
To the heart, beating not only for me but pulsing greater love into every corner of this shared body—thank you.
To the lungs, drawing in breath that becomes oxygen, gift of life for two—thank you.
To the brain, guiding with intuition, courage, and an ancient knowing far deeper than thought—thank you.
To all the organs, muscles, bones, and tissues, rearranging themselves with grace and resilience, creating space where none existed before—thank you.
Body, you are miracle and mystery.
You are strength and surrender.
You are both the home and the doorway.
I honor you. I cherish you. I trust you.
And I offer my deepest gratitude for your sacred work of love.
