Hello everyone we have a few updates! Caden is at the NIH finishing up some preliminary testing. He’s is doing well but he’s very bored as there isn’t much to do while sitting in the hospital. The winner of the Lois Teicher’s drawing was chosen and she received it today! Congrats to Dana Cooper on the awesome prize!!!! Thanks again to everyone for your support. More updates to come soon.

Yesterday, Caden and Colton had the pleasure of meeting President and CEO Rick Lofgren. He has been running the organization for 24 years. COTA makes the process of fundraising so much easier. If you know someone who is in need of a transplant (not just bone marrow) we couldn’t recommend working with them more. The winner of the art drawing will be chosen and contacted at the end of this week. Caden will be going to the NIH at the end of August for preliminary tests so more updates to come soon!

We are going to be hosting a drawing for COTA in Caden’s honor for a piece of art from Lois Teicher. Dubbed the Woman of Steel for her use of the material, Lois has been the winner of many awards such as the Michigan Governor’s Lifetime Achievement Award. She is best known for her large scale 14 foot Curved Form with Rectangle and Space across from the Detroit Institute of Art. The drawing is for a piece called Burst which is based on a proposal for an outdoor piece. It is museum quality and ready to hang. The suggested donation is $20 to be entered in the drawing. The drawing will last two weeks and then we I’ll randomly choose a winner. Please donate at cotaforcaden.com and make sure to include good contact information. Thank you for all your support!!!
