"This moment is ultimately about integrity within the broader interfaith movement. If The Pagan Threat can become a bestseller without meaningful public response, it suggests that America’s commitment to religious pluralism remains conditional—extended to some, but not to all."

If you are part of any interfaith organization, club, committee, etc. that have not addressed this, ask them why. Challenge them to live up to their ideals and include pagans, witches, etc. in the movement for religious freedom.

Lucas Miles’ The Pagan Threat has become a New York Times bestseller, warning of a “pagan uprising.” Yet the greater concern is not the book itself, but the silence surrounding it, raising troubling questions about interfaith integrity, pluralism, and who truly counts in America’s religious ...

Hey, y'all! I popped up on the Lux Occult podcast again. We recorded this interview earlier in the year but, sadly, the stuff we talked about is just a relevant. We chatted about Q***r Ancestors, community building, and consent in magical spaces. Give it a listen!

"Legal scholars note that the 1993 RFRA was originally championed by an unusual coalition of Christians, Jews, Muslims, and Native groups, meant to safeguard religious exercise for all. But federal agencies and courts have repeatedly ruled that “burdens” on Indigenous religious practice caused by land use decisions are incidental — not coercive — because the government owns the land. The result, critics say, is a double standard that privileges church buildings but not sacred landscapes."

In the face of Christian Nationalism all non-conservative spiritualities must stand united. MAGA constantly reminds us that their version of "religious freedom" only applies to their restrictive version of Christianity, an interpretation that spits on the First Amendment.

At Oak Flat, a sacred Apache site in Arizona’s Tonto National Forest, Indigenous and interfaith leaders continue a years-long fight to protect holy ground from a proposed copper mine, testing the boundaries of U.S. commitments to religious freedom and environmental justice.

New blog post! This New Moon ritual was a doozy. In fact, I had to contend with something that was actively attempting to prevent me from getting this message.

We’re going through a long period right now where the facades we’ve erected are beginning to corrode. The illusions that surround us are beginning to fray. At the same time these systems are desperate to reinforce themselves, to maintain control, and to keep us in our cages so they can feed off ...

Hey y'all! Just a reminder about this upcoming Virtual Q***r Ancestor Memorial on Sunday 10/26 from 6-6:45pm ET. This is a free event, but donations are appreciated. I have two dear friends assisting with creating and holding space.

Join Rev. Ron Padrón for a ceremony of remembrance and thanks honoring our Q***r Ancestors.

You never know where life is going to take you, and that is what makes it incredible. My friends and I were featured in a new article in Whitehot Magazine of Contemporary Art, discussing our approach to punk spirituality, zines, and liberation.

ALTAR PUNK first began, John-Marx recalls, while they were doing dishes.

I absolutely love this guest article. So much of it resonated with me. I wish more folks would treat what is left of our natural landscape with this type of reverence.

"I have discovered that parks help fill a void for me," writes Meagan Fischer, "of finding community in my devotion to the web of life. After years of frantic activism, I am learning to care for myself for the long haul, to surround myself with beauty."

"Many Pagan and interfaith non-profits use inclusive hiring statements and diversity goals to reflect their values. A more restrictive EEOC approach to “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” could make such language riskier for organizations that receive federal funding or work with government programs. Likewise, Pagan and adjacent communities are often among the most openly affirming of q***r, trans, and gender-diverse members. Beyond employment law, the EEOC’s new direction signals a broader cultural shift in how “religious freedom” is defined and enforced, one that may increasingly prioritize traditional or majority-faith beliefs over a balanced recognition of all spiritual paths."

The Senate’s confirmation of Brittany Panuccio restores a conservative majority at the EEOC, signaling major shifts in workplace policy. From diversity programs to religious accommodation, the agency’s new direction could reshape how equality, faith, LGBTQ+, and gender rights as well as how it a...

"The release noted that Miss Major, also known as "Mama," fought for more than 50 years for trans, gender-nonconforming, and LGB community – especially for Black trans women, trans women of color, and those who have survived incarceration and police brutality."

Another legendary figure in the long battle for q***r and trans liberation has passed on. The best way to honor her is to continue to fight.

Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a Black transgender woman and longtime activist who once lived in the Bay Area, died October 13.

"The Wild Hunt invited Pagan voices within the military to share their experiences and perspectives on Hegseth’s comments. We received these three honest and unfiltered letters. They come from different corners of the service: a young Army recruit still learning what Ásatrú means; a Reservist sergeant who honors Freyja while navigating a culture of silence; and a career officer who has served long enough to see how rhetoric can erode trust.

Together, their words reveal the realities of faith and duty in today’s military and the quiet courage it takes to serve both one’s gods and one’s country when powerful voices question your right to belong."

Three U.S. soldiers — an officer, a reservist, and a new recruit — respond to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s “Nordic Pagans” remarks, reflecting on faith, honor, and the quiet courage it takes to serve both gods and country.

This October Invisible Histories is partnering with our friends at Frameline and Appalshop to bring you a FREE streaming film festival.

The festival will feature several LGBTQ films and shorts from the archives of our three organizations. During a time of extreme censorship and attacks on LGBTQ people and issues, it's vitally important that we remember those who fought before us, learn from their victories and defeats, and ensure that future generations can continue to celebrate them. This film festival helps us fight back against erasure and censorhip.

The films are free to stream and available to anyone worldwide.

The online festival will be available from October 11 - 31, 2025.

It would make a great Halloween, the gayest of the holidays, watch party for you and your friends! So get together, learn from those in the past, and fight back against the erasure of LGBTQ history this spooky season.

Visit the link below to RSVP for the event:

Frameline, Invisible Histories, and Appalshop present a free-to-access streaming showcase, The World Is Watching: Q***r History.
