🤨 We don’t talk enough about eyebrows during cancer treatment.

When you have them, they feel like…nothing special. Just a part of your face.

But when you lose them, you suddenly realize how much they shape your face, your confidence, and the person you expect to see in the mirror.

Most microblading out there looks too harsh for people who lose their brows from chemo.

Thick. Blocky. Sharp.

It doesn’t feel like you; it feels like a version someone drew on because they didn’t understand your story.

Real brows are soft. Wispy.

That’s why I love Don Bovine’s work here in Dallas. He’s an artist first. He pays attention to the face in front of him, not a template. His microblading looks like real brows — gentle strokes, natural flow, everything in harmony with your features.

There are two moments when cancer patients sometimes consider microblading:

✨ Before chemo
He creates a subtle base so if brows fall out, you still have your natural shape and expression underneath.

✨ After treatment
If they don’t grow back, he can restore them in a way that feels familiar and authentic, not painted on, but returned.

Because looking in the mirror and recognizing yourself again is not superficial.
It’s healing.
It’s dignity.
It’s one small part of feeling human through a very inhuman experience.

I wish there were more artists like Don in every city. He’s one-of-one in Dallas and worth the trip if you’re able.

If you know someone who specializes in natural, cancer-sensitive microblading, tag them so others can find support too. Someone out there is searching for that name today.

You never know who might screenshot and save this.

✨ FREE Webinar ✨

When someone you love is facing cancer, getting clear answers from the medical team becomes essential.

But knowing what to ask and how to ask it isn’t always easy.

Asking effective questions is a skill. It also happens to be one of the topics I’m asked to speak about most often by podcasts, advocacy groups, and support communities. Because when the stakes are high and emotions run deep, the way we ask questions can shape the information we receive.

Learning how to ask the right questions in the moment can change everything. It helps you get clarity, stay grounded, and make confident decisions together.

If you don’t think of yourself as someone who’s great at asking questions or you’re not sure where to begin, you aren’t alone.

Come join me for my free webinar. I’ll show you how to start the conversation and get the clarity you need.

✨ Grateful for the laughter and connection at Good Days Exchange 2025!

For those who don’t know, Good Days is a nonprofit based in Frisco, TX that helps people with chronic illnesses get the care they need by providing financial support, resources, and advocacy so no one has to choose between treatment and daily living. Truly incredible work happening right here in our community.

It was also a treat catching up with my sweet friend , founder of AndLife. She’s amazing at helping people lose 12–15 lbs and keep it off in a healthy, realistic way. Her tips are simple, actionable, and effective, so follow her if you don’t already.

I loved seeing Randie Odebralski, who continues to do amazing work at Good Days (and yes, still holds the title of best hugger). Then I got to meet Justin Wren, former MMA fighter and founder of , whose mission to bring clean water and hope to communities in need is nothing short of inspiring. And I have to say, Justin may now be tied with Randie for the title of world’s best hugger.

What struck me most was how these connections converge: healing, service, hope.
(And yes, the pic’s just us — no group shot this time, but plenty of laughs!)

Sometimes the best thing you can do (for yourself and your loved one) is to welcome new energy into the mix.

Fresh faces bring a new set of eyes, another layer of support, and a little relief when you need it most. You’re still leading...you’re just leading wisely.

Okay, let’s be real for a sec. When you hear ‘palliative care,’ what pops into your head? If you’re like most people, you probably think it’s only for the very end. But here’s the thing…that’s just not true.

Palliative care can actually be a total game-changer right from the start of a cancer journey. It’s about easing pain, wrapping support around families, and making those tough days feel just a little bit lighter.

✨ I’ve put together a super quick 4-minute read that breaks it all down without any of the confusing medical jargon. Just clear, honest answers to help you feel informed and a whole lot more empowered.

Being a Badass Advocate isn’t about pretending everything’s fine.

It’s about finding the courage to face the hard conversations...
the ones you wish you didn’t have to have,
the ones your loved one might not be ready for.

It’s not easy. It’s not fair. But it’s part of showing up with love, honesty, and strength...even when it hurts.

Being a Badass Advocate is about knowing what’s available and using it...

Leverage the pros: palliative care teams, care coordinators, home health services.

Lean on your people: non-profits, your church community, neighbors, and friends.

You don’t have to carry this alone. Support comes in many forms.

Let it.
