Cultural appropriation in witchcraft has unfortunately been happening for decades. However, with the current modernization and general acceptance of witchcraft in social media, the need for education on this matter is continuing to increase.

Since I am a white passing person that has hereditary ties to the native tribes of New England, I present a unique point of view on this issue. It stands to reason that people like me have the responsibility to speak out and educate people who may have their heart in the right place, but are appropriating native practices all the same.

Ultimately I stand firm in the opinion that the natural energies in this world are meant for all to benefit from, no matter your upbringing. Cultural appropriation is only possible if you are are willfully uneducated or disrespectful, or you claim these practices as your own and are profiting off of them as a non-indigenous person.

🌞 Simply overwhelmed by the outpouring of questions on my last video 💖 I’ll be spending a portion of my day today and tomorrow sitting with Spirit and devoting time to answer those that I feel called to.

🍄 How often do you find yourself in spell work? Some practitioners strictly adhere to magical day correspondences or moon phases when crafting their spells, but sometimes I find these concepts limiting. If my need happens to align with an approaching full moon for example, then I might wait a day just to use that moon energy to amplify my intent—but that’s not always possible or necessary! If you feel called into spell work, then you can do it whenever you please.

☀️ I wanted this really expensive herb and plant drying rack, and then I realized that I already had everything I needed to make my own!

☀️ I used a stick that I already collected from a dear friend’s house (Let’s be real, every witch collects sticks), then I used h**p string to hang it and tie on the plants for drying. It was so easy and somehow feels more energetically powerful because I made it myself 🥰
