Thank you to Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College for having myself and my MAT students to their Tech and Teens Summer Camp. Our students were able to share athletic training skills with students from Barbourville, Pineville, and surrounding areas. This was a great event for kids in our community.

This fall, after meeting rigorous new quality standards, Union College’s Master of Athletic Training (MAT) program received full accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Union is now the only institution in southeastern Kentucky offering a master.....

Tomorrow night Knox Central will join other schools throughout the state by lighting the KC football field at 7:30 in remembrance of Andrew Dodson & in support of his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with this family, school, and their community.

So we are almost halfway through the semester. Our 2nd year students are getting great experiences at their immersive rotations. We have a student at Miami University and our other student is at EKU. Thank you to both of these sites for providing a great experience for our students.

Our 2nd year students will be heading out to their immersive experience next week. Tristan (left) will be going to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and Brice (right) will be heading to Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY. This will be a 16 week experience where students will be on campus and cover all games and practices under the supervision of a preceptor. Students will be taking classes online. This gives the student the experience of what it like to be a full time ATC. Best of luck to these 2 students. Go Bulldogs!
