Article: University of Toronto’s Nurse Practitioner Program joins Residency PBLP

We are pleased to spotlight the University of Toronto’s Nurse Practitioner Program, which has joined Residency PBLP in integrating our FMPE modules into its curriculum. Trainees now engage with these modules in a facilitated small‑group format, working through real-world challenges commonly encountered by primary care clinicians across Canada.

Based on member feedback, the Practice Reflection Tool (PRT) and Follow-up PRT were streamlined at the start of the 2026 membership year to improve the member experience.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐰:
• The questions have been reorganized to improve flow, starting with your current practices and confirmed knowledge, then moving to identified gaps, and concluding with planned practice and patient management changes.
• Language throughout the tools has been simplified to enhance clarity.
• The question about “changes being considered” has been removed to shorten the tool and place greater focus on planned changes.
