Small Steps, is an Inclusion Centre within GEMS schools for providing support and therapies to children with learning difficulties & special need.

Small Steps learning difficulties centre provides ABA programmes for young children with Autism & related developmental disorders seeking early intensive behavioural intervention based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) in the UAE. We have established an Inclusion Centre facility housed within the GEMS Founders School at Al Barsha and Mizhar branch and will focus on children between the ages of 3 and 10 years with:

-Autism Spectrum Disorder
-Asperger’s Syndrome
-Behavioural Disorder
-ADD/ ADHD
-Developmental Delays
-Speech & Language Delays

All our technicians (ABA therapists, Supervisors and BCBA consultants) are highly trained and we continue to provide them with regular trainings to keep up with the newly developed researches and techniques.

The day was filled with cultural activities, beautifully prepared traditional stations, and joyful moments - including a wholesome photo captured with Executive Principal Mr Matthew. A memorable celebration all around.

Our students at GEMS Al Barsha National School - GNS had such a lovely time today exploring the animals around them. 🐟🐇🐢

They enjoyed watching the fish, spending time with the bunnies, feeding the animals, and discovering new friends like the tortoise and hedgehog.

It’s always a fun experience seeing their curiosity and confidence grow through these interactions. 🐾✨
