SO HEAR ME OUT ON THIS ONE(!) (And please share with your management or executive staff you may know) :

I'm flipping though the stock photos for this post and finding that none of them really illustrate what I'm looking for.

You know what's missing?
You know what this disconnect is?

There's no picture on executive/administrative staff on the units smiling and interacting with nurses and other bedside employees.

I've seen a quote floating around from Richard Branson saying something like: "As long as you take care of your employees, you'll never have to worry about your business."
Now, although nowadays hospitals are typically following a business model, patients are clearly not products. Bedside staff are not even service workers, they're spirit and soul practitioners who happen who have skills in medicine.
But they're also beat down and have deflated spirits themselves. All the policies, and emails and protocols... inevitably leaves ones cup empty.

Here's my thought through all of this: Why can't hospitals have cultures more like Google or Facebook or Epic? Patch Adams knew laughter and fun was the best medicine, so why don't hospitals take on the same philosophy?

Could we imagine how incredible healthcare would be with this in mind?

So I always premise something like this with a little something for the cynics.
But here's the thing: whether you like it or not, we're ALL spiritual in some way. No, maybe not in the obvious way (i.e. the Bible). However, if there wasn't even ONE thing (even small) you believed in, how would you even keep going in life?
Think about it:
You believe in yourself. (and if you don't, please talk to me)
You believe in protecting the earth.
You believe in your loved ones.
You believe in having a good life (and again, if you don't please talk to me)
You believe in your team winning the championship (unless you're a Broncos fan, and please talk to me about this, we'll get through this 😉)
You believe that you deserve more.
.. and so much more!

Take 2023 by the reins! Don't put things off another year. You've got this, and I'm always here to help you see it through.❤️❤️
