Although not commonly talked about, urinary incontinence affects up to 53% of women in the U.S.
In my practice, I usually see patients with the top three types of incontinence described above. Pelvic floor physical therapy can be very effective in treating stress, urge and mixed incontinence and can greatly improve your quality of life.

When was the last time you have been out in a park or other natural place? 🌳🌷🍀🌲🌹
We often feel disconnected from our bodies because we are disconnected from their natural environments. Touching the earth, hugging the trees, feeling the warmth of the sun and the cooling of the breeze on our skin, listening to the stillness and at the same time the symphony of nature - all this brings us back to our roots and into our bodies.

Next time you are out on a walk, look around, appreciate the abundance of Mother Earth and notice how your mind and body feel. 🌞🌳

By getting out in the nature, we also:
🌳 Boost immune system by enhancing our microbiome
🌷 Increase serotonin levels and fight stress
🌹 Improve ability to cope with pain

Going out into nature is the fastest and easiest way to recharge for me. Try it for yourself and make it your weekly, if not daily habit.

What is your favorite way to connect with nature and how does it make you feel? Let me know in the comments👇

I treat a lot of women who have problems with their s*xuality that usually stem from the following:

🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ They do not know their body well. This often results in false perceptions about their body’s s*xual function. They do not know what their bodies can and cannot do during s*x, what is considered normal and how to address things that are not exactly right. Lots of education and self-exploration during our sessions takes care of a lot of questions.

🙍‍♀️ 🙍‍♀️🙍‍♀️ They feel ashamed of their body. This can be due to past trauma, abuse, false perceptions of beauty, low self-esteem and, again, insufficient knowledge. During their initial exam, women often apologize for not being groomed “down there” or for their v***a looking a certain way. I wish all women knew the grand variety of forms and shapes of v***as, each being beautiful in its unique way. A great way to explore this variety is the photo gallery on the L***a Library website.

Dance is a great way to get rid of physical and emotional blockages, get in contact with your body and its rhythmicality. During a long work day, take a short break, turn on your favorite music and dance to it for just a few minutes. You’ll feel the rush of endorphins, increased blood flow, inflow of energy and release of tension.

I'm finally starting to develop my social media presence and would like to share a few words about what I do.

🌞I'm a Licensed Physical Therapist and Yoga Teacher. I work with different orthopedic and neurologic conditions and have special interest in Pelvic Health.

🔶I help women (and soon will be helping men too!) restore their pelvic health and s*xuality, overcome incontinence, constipation, chronic pain, discomfort during in*******se and other physical ailments.

🔺I support women during pregnancy and post-partum, helping them regain control over their bodies.

🔻I also work on other areas of the body, including hips, low back, neck, shoulders, knees and feet and always look at the body as a whole.

☯🕉I combine modern Western knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics etc. with the ancient yogic teachings and alternative health practices, offering a holistic approach to healing.

On this page, I'm hoping to share my knowledge and helpful tips for you to improve your health and well-being. Post below questions and topics that you would like to learn more about ⬇

As much as I enjoy teaching the Saturday morning classes, I have to put them on pause for a couple of months while I am studying for the licensure exam and completing my final clinical rotation. I hope to resume them as soon as I can. Thank you to those who have been practicing with me, I look forward to seeing you again soon!

There will be no Yoga in the Park class this week due to the weather conditions. Instead, I'm sharing with you a gentle vinyasa flow for prosperity, which is the first half of the class that I recently taught online. Those who came to the last session may see some familiar elements of the sequence, which you can go through again to reinforce the effect ;-) I hope the weather is friendlier next week and we'll get to have a regular outdoor class. See you soon!
