Madisyn Miners and Her Heroes at Avon Park High School made front page Highlands News-Sun. It explains in detail exactly what occurred on 5/4/22, and the amazing response from staff, students and EMS that saved her life. I will forever be grateful for all they have done. ❤️I won’t lie, I made a lot of bargains with God that day and in the days after. It’s time to pay it forward.

Since home, I’ve been speaking with Shawn Sima, Impact Director for Who We Play For, to help bring SCA awareness and the importance of heart screening for young athletes to the community. The information and stats they shared in the article, is something every parent should read and be aware of. Our community needs to know this far more common in our children than we realize. Madisyn was NOT an athlete but she has always been active. A simple walk up the stairs resulted in SCA. Imagine what intense training in a young athlete could do. ⚠️

The current pressing goal is to push for DeSantis to sign a bill that would release 25M in funds to cover multiple AEDs on School campus, proper emergency and AED training, as well as public access to AEDs.
