It strikes me as odd that none of the people represented here who have implied diabetes are obese? By the WHO’s own statistics about 90% of people who suffer from type 2 diabetes (by far most prevalent kind) are obese. Why is the most prevalent body type to be impacted by diabetes, overweight and obese, not represented here?

Type 1 diabetes is not preventable.

Type 2 diabetes is often preventable through a healthy diet, regular physical activity, maintaining a healthy body weight & avoiding to***co use.

The cycle of cortisol and obesity is a loop where stress raises cortisol levels, leading to increased appetite and fat storage. Excess fat produces inflammation, which boosts cortisol, worsening the cycle.

The vast majority of your calories should come from real food. Mainly meat, fish, eggs and vegetables that you prepare out for yourself fresh from their raw forms.

Ultra processed and hyper palatable food might be cheap financially; but in terms of what really matters, your health, you can’t afford it.

Over the last decade the prevalence of PCOS has increased by nearly 65%!

We don't fully understand the causes of it, but we know that insulin resistance and hormonal factors play a huge role, we also know that obesity and excess adipose tissue is hormonally active and research is finding out more and more about the massive extent of that impact every day.

The unfortunate news is that PCOS further exacerbates that hormonal imbalance which makes it harder to lose weight, the excess weight makes it worse as well and we have a positive feedback loop; a vicious cycle.

The good news is that while PCOS makes it harder to lose weight, it does not make it impossible. With consistent nutrition and diet, active habits, and lifestyle changes, it is not only possible but paramount!

Eating too late in the evening can have impacts on your body's ability to optimally metabolize your food, creating insulin resistance, increasing the risk of developing diabetes, and resulting in additional fat storage. The impact through is not huge compared to so many of the other obesogenic behaviors we engage in. I always recommend fixing the big problems first, if you are eating a standard American diet of ultra-processed hyperpalatable food then that is far more impactful than when you are eating. However when considering all factors, chronic late night eating is best avoided!
