💞 Skin-to-skin isn’t just sweet—it’s powerful.
A new study shows that educating both healthcare professionals and parents increases the duration and frequency of skin-to-skin contact in the first 24 hours postpartum.
🔍 Highlights:
âś… Average skin-to-skin time increased from 12.9 to 14.6 hours
âś… Newborns receiving >20 hrs of contact jumped from 33% to 58%
âś… Babies held more often at 2 months
✨ Skin-to-skin helps regulate temperature, boost bonding, support breastfeeding, and may have long-lasting effects on parent-infant connection.
Let’s keep babies close—from the start.
