The first in Yoga is Saucha, which is taught as – cleanliness – of the body, heart, mind and environment.

Practice Saucha by giving your mat a light cleaning daily/ every time you use it and a deep cleaning every few weeks.

For an all natural daily clean, mix white vinegar or witch hazel with water at a 1-to-4 ratio in a spray bottle and shake slightly to combine.
Add a few drops of tea tree oil or another essential oil for an inspiring scent.
Spray down your mat and gently wipe the solution all around the surface.
Let your mat fully dry before rolling it up.
