Baji Ry / Baji Association Baji Association - School of Chinese martial and health arts Baji Association is a Chinese martial and health art school in Helsinki, Finland.

Led by master Lü Baochun, Baji Association has made a great effort in teaching and spreading knowledge of various Chinese combat and health exercising systems in and outside of Finland since summer 2001. Our head-teacher, master Lü Baochun, is a revered master of various Chinese styles of combat, specializing mainly in bajiquan and taijiquan. He's merits include being a former instructor of Beijin

g secret police as well as an accepted indoor student of many famous masters such as Zhang Xuchu, Wei Shuren, Han Longquan and Feng Zhiqiang. Aside from Finland where he currently lives, master Lü has been teaching all around the world, having currently active students in countries such as Sweden, Italy and France. Our practicioners vary from younger to older people and from individuals seeking means to develop their everyday health to those interested in learning realistic and effective self-defense and combat ability. The systems taught in our school include bajiquan (Han style), taijiquan (Chen and Yang style), xingyiquan (Hebei style), baguazhang (Liang style), gun (eng. translation "whipping staff") and qigong (mainly taiji). It's time for another Tuishou seminar to introduce the principles of Tuishou under the guidance of Master Lü Baochun. The seminar will take place at Arabian nuorisotalo on the 22nd to the 23th of March 2025. Please check out our events for more details!

Tuishou, or push hands, is an exercise in which the fundamentals of movement are explored with a partner. The aim is to learn high level control of yourself through contact with your partner, making it a great exercise for wanting to understand your own body or to understand how to control another during a fight. With Master Lü, everyone can learn something new, regardless of their starting level.
