I can’t remember what I did 20 minutes ago, but I can remember every detail of this day 20 years ago. The early morning chill in the air on my walk to work, the amazing blue sky with white fluffy clouds, the time, the unknown, the fear, the trucks on the streets, the tears, the smoke, and the smell. But I also can still feel how everyone locked arms and held each other, the kindness and love for days, weeks and months. When I woke up this morning, there was a chill in the air, blue skies and white fluffy clouds. Mother Nature has a way to always keep the skies blue on this day, and allows room for our tears. Today is not a memory, one that we can reminisce about. It’s a day that will remind us to lock arms, love, be kind and cherish the blue skies.

20 years seems like 20 minutes, But sometimes I can’t even remember what I did 20 minutes ago, but will always remember the day and every detail about 20 years ago. The blue sky with the most amazing white fluffy clouds, the slight chill in the early morning on my walk to work, the time, the unknown, the fear, the yellow, red and blue cars and trucks that were the only ones on the streets, the tears, the smell, the unity in the city the days and weeks following. Everyone in our country was kind to one another 20 years ago. These are not memories, they are a reality that will never be forgotten.

My children will remember 2020 like I remember 20 years ago. They will tell this story to their children, just as I do today. I often wonder how their story will be told , will kindness, togetherness, no judgement and unity be included in their story?

1st day of school. 10th grade, 7th grade, 7th grade , 6th grade. 7 hours of me time in the rain with my juice and baby intex (still have the husband in the basement). Life is good.

This is a cute story. Every summer me and my friend go into soho to get our favorite sunglasses. We save money all year just to get these. Well, last year there was a guy with a big ass Nikon lens pointing right at me. I went all NY on him wondering why he was taking my picture and what was he going to do with it. After spending some time talking with him and he told me that he has an IG page of just picks in soho that he takes every Saturday. He gave me his card, he posted my picture and we’ve always supported each other on Instagram. So last week I was in soho for my annual sunglasses adventure and don’t you know the same guy, the same lens, the same street and the same girl with different Sunglasses was there. It’s amazing how much the world has changed in the past year, but yet the Precious moments have stayed the same with just a little more gratitude.
