Hey y’all. 👋

I’m still here, just took a little break.

I’ve been working on things behind the scenes.

I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be sitting for my exam this fall to become a national board certified health and wellness coach! 📜

More growth, more challenges and moving forward.

I hope you are all hanging in there.💛

To your health & wellbeing,

Coach Ky 💚

My 5 go-tos for when I’m bloated. Now remember- bio-individuality is SO important!

This is what I know works for me. If you find that certain things are not working for you, getting curious about your body and paying attention to it is key. 🔑

If you want to tune into your body I recommend writing things down in a journal. I have a wellness journal I am giving away for free right now! Comment or DM me “journal” for your free Wellness journal. 💚

I’ll be honest, so many thoughts ran through my head before deciding to post this.

Thoughts of wondering what others might think. Whether it be positive or negative.
Thoughts of how my body fluctuates all the time and here I’m only showing the ✨ highlights✨ in this post and how that can be frowned upon. BUT then again I’m proud of this highlight. I’m allowed to take up space. And so are you. 🤍

As a former athlete, weight, feeling strong, fast, body composition and overall athleticism were and still are guide posts in how well I feel in my body. However, the ruler 📏 in which I measure those markers look a bit different now, and that’s okay. Along my journey I’ve added other markers to help indicate and guide me in my health. I’m adjusting and modifying as I go, it’s not just black and white.

We’re heading into February y’all. 👋
Some of us may have started new routines or habits with the new year. Others, might have not. Either way, this post isn’t to criticize, rather it’s to talk about starting things that you really want.

Starting the project, the routine, or the new habit.
Taking action and just doing the THING no matter how small the action is.

You’ll take breaks here and there and you might feel like you’ve “fallen off”, but that feeling is just a green light 🚦telling you to GO take action.

Just start, start now, and keep “re-starting”. You only quit when you completely stop and never start again.

You teach people how to treat you.

It starts with how you treat yourself and what you tolerate.

What your boundaries are and where they do not exist.

You can certainly change how you show up in your relationships and friendships. It will take some time, repetition and even buy in or respect from others.

Have you had experiences with these situations or similar? Leave them in the comments!

Found this picture from when I finished my Reiki I certification with .feminine.roots . My how time flies! 🪽

I have learned so much since then. I was going through a lot with my health at the time but things were not yet clear.

So much transition followed after this picture was taken.

I look back on pictures like this and smile at my younger self with immense gratitude for expressing my truest self. In spite of the fear of what others may think of me (recovering people pleaser here).

I’m proud of me.

And I hope that you too, take some time to reflect on your growth, no matter how pretty or ugly (progress over perfection babbyyyy)!

I find myself having an inner dialogue to remind myself it’s okay to choose me.

To choose my well-being.
To saying no.
To putting up appropriate boundaries.

I used to be the boundary queen at one point. 😂

This is your friendly reminder and sign to choose yourself if you have been unsure if it’s the healthy thing to do. More thank likely, it is the healthiest choice.

“Slow & steady wins the race.”

In this day in age, with the advances of technology- we are conditioned to having things happen in an instant for us. Things that used to take much more time in the past.

When it comes to our health & wellness, our bodies, our minds, habits & behaviors; change takes time.

We may get frustrated along the way of our journey, which is totally normal and okay! It’s how we decide to keep moving forward when those moments come up.

Giving yourself AND the process some grace, exercising patience & self-compassion can help ease the sticky mess dog being stagnant.

Just keep going- you will get to the other side, and the process of your evolution in the process will be more than worth it.

The Fall Equinox has me leaning more in to taking time for rest among all the change and transition of the seasons.

“Sleep is for the weak…”

“You get to rest when you’re done.”

Have you heard these phrases before?

Maybe at practice for your sport growing up. Maybe from authority figures in different environments. Does it feel like those phrases still sound in your mind or your body when it comes to taking a breather, a little stop or just resting in general?

That’s what it has felt like for me in the past and even now. It’s tricky but sometimes I literally have to say to myself,
“You deserve to have time dedicated to resting. You have permission. Resting IS productive, even if it doesn’t feel like it right away.”

And when I do say those things I can feel my body relax and a sense of overwhelming gratitude comes up.

It’s like my body is saying “Thank you, I’ve been so tired, but didn’t want to let you down. All I’ve been needing and wanting is to rest.”

If this resonates, you’re not alone.

And you’re allowed to relax & be at pease. You deserve it.🤍
